  1. I was there today and it was amazingly quiet. When I reached there at 8pm, there was only another person around. Then after he left, another person came in at around 9pm. And the rest of the night was just the 2 of us. And the place closed at 11pm and there aren't any tissue papers at the 3rd level. I thought it's supposed to close at 2am on sat? I was ok with the place but with so few people on a sat evening, how can this place survive?
  2. Still cannot decide to go Hercules or Hot Spa....Anyone going?

  4. Towel is only for gym members. It's hot jacuzzi!
  5. There's only 1 tennis court but it's not ready for booking yet.
  6. I just went swimming last night and used the Jacuzzi. It's linked so both swimmers and gymmers can use it.
  7. New SAFRA clubhouse at Jurong. Anyone been there yet? There's a Jacuzzi for swimmers and gymmers....... Nice place! :thumb:
  8. It has been disappointing for the past few years. They are always selling irrelevant stuffs and really nothing much to see except the usual "God of Fortune" and the 12 animal signs.
  9. I know there are many civil servants who have loads of work and have to work through weekends and nights to do their work. Who are those people running road shows during weekends to promote healthy lifestyle, sports, family events? Who are those who have to go through multiple levels of approval to get those ads approved to be broadcast in the media? Who are those who have to write papers after papers to provide grants, funding, GST credits, changing of policies etc? To simple say Civil servants have nothing much to do is plain discrimination. There are always black sheeps in all organisations. I know of friends in pte sector who really have nothing much to do and yet they can bonuses for their "good" work. So? Do we say everyone in that sector have nothing much to do?
  10. Haha Luckily I am not the only one who said this or it's difficult for people to believe.
  11. Hi, Nick or Nicky from Yishun is different from Nick from Shunfu. Nick (Yishun) is quite young, about mid 20s to late 20s, reasonably good looking, small built. His massage is definitely ok and service is good. However, he will be returning back to Indo next week and will not be back in the short run.
  12. It's certainly a wise choice to buy a place of your own, whether for investment or for having a roof over our heads. Personally, I think the prices are too high now and I am waiting for the prices to go down before buying. Agents will always say that you can buy now. They can't possible ask you to wait until next year which means their income will be affected for 1 whole year. So, the choice is yours. For those who have no choice but to buy now, choose something small and affordable and maybe slightly off town so that you don't have to pay a super high price for it. I will wait for the price to go down.
  13. Yes. I also have the same experience.
  14. I believe a lot of the argument here are unnecessary. I was assuming that the question is referring to massuer choosing customers based on their own likes and preferences. Like if he likes chub and matured and the customer is lean and young, he might provide not-as-good service or charge higher prices or doesn't reply to smses. Cos if it's referring to customers with unreasonable behaviour, I believe everyone will agree that all massuers or service providers have the right to blacklist these customers. If a massuer only likes a certain type of customer and do not want to service others, then best if he can state it somewhere in his publicity materials so that expectations are met. No right or wrong and it's for customers to choose whether they still want to go for this massuer or not.
  15. Do you mean that just cos it's not easy to be a home-based massuer thats why all customers cannot give feedback and should accept whatever service that the massuer is offering? I think so far the feedback are all based on actual actions of the massuer and there are constructive suggestions for him to improve. All businesses do collect feedback and improve on their products and services right? What's wrong with that?
  16. Yah, actually I also think his massage is below average also. He couldn't really hit the important acupoints.
  17. Agree with you. Hope that he can improve on this. For his own business sake.
  18. Ok, so you are saying that his service differs from different customers, depending on whether they are his cuppa of tea or not? That would justify my comment on his service then. Yes, you are probably right. If he is expecting me to be matured/chub, then I am sorry that I am not.
  19. Hi all, Just wanna say that I am not here to break anyone's rice bowl. I just wanna make sure members here can good massage deals since I got Nic's contacts from this forum. I supposed I can accept his explanation to let his clients rest a while after the massage. However, I suggest that he should at least tell them that massage is over and they can go and shower if they are ready. I usually will be very relaxed after massage but still I can't sleep just like that after doing massage. And he should also let them know if the "sleeping" is counted as part of the massage hours. Ok, then what about the formal agreement that it was 90 mins and was later charged for more than that without any prior agreement? Shouldn't the massuer ask the client first?
  20. If you have read my post, you should realise that my feedback wasn't mainly on the skills but the overall experience. If you think that the things I mentioned are reasonable, then I have nothing to say too.
  21. Agree with Domwinger. However, it was stated in the forum that there's a choice of bed or mattress so just wanna state that fact. Just wondering if he left you lying there after the massage. Did he tell you what to do after the massage? ========== Edited by Gachi
  22. Last week I visited Nic from Shunfu after seeing rather positive comments of his massage on the forum. But I was so wrong. Let me state the facts here and you guys can decide for yourself. 1) As what most people said, he wasn't really able to address all the acupoints and the sore areas even though I told him my problem areas are shoulders and neck. I also told him prefer stronger massage especially these areas. Ended up it's not strong enough on these areas but too strong on my legs which were never my problem areas. 2) Most of his massages were done with the towel covering and the towel was quite thick. I seriously do not think that would be very effective in addressing the acupoints and the exact problem spots. He is only massaging the mass area and hopefully can hit the spot. 3) Before we start, he asked how long I want the massage to be and he suggested 90 mins straightaway before I can answer. Ok, that was my mistake for not insisting on 1 hour. I reached there at 7pm and by the time I was paying, it was 5 mins to 9pm. So, he told me should be 2 hours charge but he give me discount so he charged me $70. But I remember we decided on 90 mins which is $60. He should stick to the time agreed and should not charge me more right? He didn't ask if I want to extend. 4) And for the 9pm, it wasn't 2 full hours anyway. I went to shower twice, before and after. And after the massage, I was very shocked that he left me lying there. He never tell me that I can rest and when I am ready I can go shower. Then he went outside and watch TV!!! So after about 15 mins, I really don't think I should be lying there like a corpse so I walked out and said I wanted to shower. And he dare to include the 15 mins that I was just lying there? 5) There was no massage bed option, only the mattress. 6) He was very concerned about covering me with the blanket than massaging me. He do have a lot of certificates displayed in his room showing that he learnt TCM Tui Na and Shiatsu massage but seriously, I don't think he is good. And the "trying to charge me more" makes me feel cheated. It's up to you guys to decide whether to believe me or not. I have been to a few home-based massages and I believed I should tell the people here if I think they are not good. So far, I think Paul (Bedok), Terry (Clementi but not doing now), Gard (Boon Keng) and Nic (Yishun) are good and worth the money. Just to show that I am not a massuer and trying to snatch business.
  23. Agreed. She doesn't want to reveal the amount, not that she never donate.
