So the current yishun pool will be closed after that, I assume? I have never been there to swim.

i would like to think so. there’s not many patrons for the yishun public pool now anyway

If that's what it is on weekday evening and/or weekends, it's a gem. Very tough to find pool w available swim lane at those hours.

last time i went it was quiet as hell. u can try. not sure if they r still running programs for kids or what not but so far it is absolutely quiet. so quiet that u can dick somebody down in peace lolol hahaha

@SociNerd the new yishun just beside Chong Pang? 

 

@bluerunner  the old yishun pool between home team and the yishun interchange? I gone passed few times and seen it from the mrt. Looks like a large old style pool but almost empty in day time. 

 

Usually go to Safra yishun if in that vicinity. Also rather quiet daytime swim. Don't really like the shower layout thou as the dry bench is not within watching eyes if I want to leave my belongs and shower with open cubicle. Few time I was there the nearer cubicles occupied so end up using the inner cubicles away from the dry bench.

 

I don't like multiples as they end up few cents more expensive and if go regularly it add up to alot and I don't use the other features except to do laps.

 

The other reopening pool to watch out for is Queenstown. Wonder how much disappointment we will get from the revamp.

Is clementi pool still as cruizy ? feel like dropping there for a swim one of this week as the weather is supber hot. have a dipped in the pool would be good

Yes. ActiveSG pools have removed most of the tanning chairs. Not sure what’s the reason.

I guess it started of as part of crowd control measures after Covid. Lower maintenance cost and less visitors to activeSG pools may have prompted management to carry on w that action.

I rather think of it as their good will gestures to prevent rise in skin cancer. There are still people tanning on the floor. Haven’t hear one being stopped so legally it’s still ok to tan. As for being quieter, more like a domino effects. More activity by students and seniors. So lesser privacy for the lurkers and cruisers so slowly they stopped going. With their lack of presences, also notice regular nude bathers got lesser.

Nowadays as long as there are eyecandies in the pool, I feel like the UFOs would come somehow almost immediately. It's like they have telekinetic powers or they are stalking/lurking or something. Also maybe the reason why there's also much less hot guys swimming compared to pre-repeal377a/COVID days. 

 

Thankfully found a pool with neither eyecandies or UFO creeps so it remains empty and easy to swim without disturbance or the eyes of thirsty creeps lol. Nowadays, it's better to have an empty pool than to have eyecandies around somehow.

I agree w you 101% on the scene at activeSG pools now. 
Find a pool that works for you, best not to share too much info.

which is better to use for day time use for week day from 10am to 5pm.

 

30 minutes bus from my home is SAFRA MF.
1.5km walk away from my home is DELTA POOL.
