Should not be difficult to find at GE pool.

I go in the mornings tho. Saw two today pretty hot but not into any sort of fun I guess but the pool was pretty empty around 1 plus when I saw them.

Sengkang Swimming Complex - seven percent crowd capacity

even now, lol

the rest are less than five

Don’t trust that webpage. Totally unreliable.

Once I used it to check Jalan Besar pool. It said 7%  had been consistent for 1hr, until I was at the door step.
Guess what? The pool was infested with kids and their over zealous parents. Many people (adults) in the pool. Crowded.  It’s more like 67%-77%!

For the past 1-2 weeks, it rained in the late afternoon. 😞
This morning is super hot. At about 2pm, sky turns gloomy. Dunno will rain or not. Hmm…

After the closure of KBSC, the regulars at the former pool will need to migrate to other pools.
I was at JBSC earlier today. Saw 2 familiar faces. I had seen 2 other regulars there in my previous visits.

Don't really like JBSC as the dry bench is too far from the shower cubicles. Much prefer KSC which I think also shares with the ActiveSg gym.

When DSC reopened, there were quite a few gymmers who swam but quess just a curiousity thing. Now it's relatively quiet if not for the sch practises or the senior water sports. Perhaps due to fear of uV so don't see much folks these days during daytime. Yet I see lots of folks at the court for pickle balls? So the sheltered pool is cold most time. Something management shld have thought thru especially since that's probably one reason why they move the toddlers pool outdoor.

CSC have got their shower pipes refurbished so good flow now in most. Flooring is good too. Plus they added extra panels at the doorway to block people from accidental exposure to unexpecting mothers who stand at the doorway yelling for their kids.

i imagine these mothers must be unhappy with the changes

Please allow me to rant a bit on what happened at the pool just now. Nothing big/serious, just annoying.

The pool wasn’t crowded at all. Middle part of the pool have 2 sections for lap swimming. And only 1 swimmer was there in one of the sections.
The other 2 sides of the pool has 2 lanes each (demarcated by 2 rows of black tiles on the swim floor.

I took on side and swam nearest to the lane rope.
Then one uncle jumped in, INTO my lane and started kicked water at the end. When I reached the end, I asked the uncle if he wanted my lane. He did not say yes and told me that he wanted to swim in circle. I told him to go to either one of the lap swim sections. Unhappy, he went over.

Then 15mins later, another uncle jumped in. He purposely dived in like a whale and swim very close to me. The rest of the pool was still very empty, just 3 other swimmers at the lap swim side and at the further end. At 2 instances, we almost collided into each other.

I knew this rogue uncle wanted my lane, die die he must swim in THAT lane where I was swimming WITHOUT even asking if he can do so. KNN.
Ok lor, since there were so lanes unoccupied, I just moved to the next lane.
Barely 20min later, he got out of the pool. WTF, right?

Dunno why some older swimmers (man or woman) can be so entitled. Die die refuse to swim in any other lanes, it has to be THAT one even it’s already occupied by another person?! Gosh.

I almost wanted to inform the lifeguards on duty or to front desk but I changed my mind. There are many of such people around. No point wasting time on them.

Thanks for the ranting space. Happy Friday.

I met one swimming ah pek at JBSC who kept switching lane and ask me how I swim, I just pretend I don't understand Hokkien and ignore him. That's why I didn't go there to swim for months till recently.

Or sometimes I see floating "corpses" in GESC when I'm there. Happy happy choose 1 lane to swim and still have to watch out for them.

You are not alone . I guess just don’t let it spoilt your day .

@bluerunner I feel you bro. All lap swimmers probably encounter such fools many times thru they swim journeys. Just so many clowns will take the lane you already on and spoilt your momentum. Very annoying lot but just find them every pools. And more annoying when it's an almost empty pool full of space yet they want to warm up beside you. Just take it you're too hot they want a piece of you 🤭😜

Great weather for a swim. Too late and far to get to the other safra. Hopefully the SC at this hr is quiet. 😉

Tuesday, weekday afternoon, should be ok.
Several pools bat the East are closed for weekly cleaning on Tuesday. Good weather, lack of pool also an issue.
Furthermore, some urgent work pops up on the eve of Christmas Eve. What a bummer. 🤦‍♂️😣

Quiet undisturbed swim. Barely few of us, compared to the courts that I walked passes. 5 / 8 courts fully occupied by 4 people playing to a court with all having at least two or more people resting at their benches waiting for their turn. 80% young fit or hunky guys and not seniors. So seems like many folks don't have to work these days 🤭🤪. Maybe shld consider going to shower at the courts instead. 🤔 Not me suggesting 🤪.  Sorry, digressed, back at the pool seems like folks had been pushing boundaries 🤭. Big A3 poster with pictures now outside before entering the gantry for scanning. "Appropriate swimming attires". Gosh all these new posters; "Change in cubicles" etc. All the new rules and confinements tsk tsk tsk. But on a happy note: the 2 young lifeguards with your cool shades and bucket hats sitting so closely side by side on the deck chitchatting. 🤭🤫 Very very 'loving' sight indeed 😏

Same observation here. I give them the benefit of doubt that they are also clearing leave.

I also see a big poster outside Katong swimming complex stating the ‘appropriate swimwear allowed in the pool’. There must be some people trying to push the boundaries.
Somehow, I did not (or perhaps, choose not to see) the one that ask the men to change in the cubicle. This is the most nonsense one, imo. Why can’t men change outside at the bench in a men’s changing room?! 🤦

Totally agree on those. Pushing boundaries, if it works, good for some 🫢😉 get to wear as skimpy as they like. Than each time after go pool must wash eyes with pomelo leaves 😂 cause for sure can't be one sided rules.

Than the change in cubicles are absurd especially it's places inside the male showers areas at quiet a number of pools I been to. And on this note, earlier a man brought his girl into the male changing room to pee. The girl definitely doesn't look like under 6yo. Still regardless of age, I now cannot condone such fathers as before there are perhaps lack of separate changing area for kids but the pool has one. And if it's too far for them to get to, there are also the handicap toilet available now. So definitely no excuse for  father to bring his girl into the male changing room now.
