Guest YES!!
I heard Thailand supplier is coming to the rescue. 75000 chilled chicken weekly across major supermarket. auscent
Spore is rich enough, open enough to source for alternative choices. Making lack of fresh chicken a conversation topic is embarassingly juvenile.
lonelyglobe
I think is time for us to consider how to reduce dependency as the world gone into a protectionism mode. Learn from china perhaps and pulau ubin will be a good place to start with. Instead of pig, we can go for chicken. https://www.reuters.com/video/watch/idRCV004ZF4 Edited June 5, 2022 by lonelyglobe

It has been decades since Singapore's independence, and Singapore has always known that it is reliant on external sources for many things. For example, during LKY's years, the Malaysians threats to cut off Singapore's water supplies happened almost on a weekly basis for a period of time. But even then, LKY was smart enough to plan for the future and came up with NEWater, whether you like it or not. But now, what is the country's solution when there is not enough manpower or food supply? Increase its reliance on external resources? If you still cannot learn from such lessons of over-reliance on other people now, you never will. It is just like the COVID situation: If you think the best solution to fight the COVID situation is to re-open the economy to foreigners and go endemic living, the country is going to be doomed. How many more decades, centuries, or generations does the country want to use its small size as an excuse not to further develop itself to be more self-sustaining? What has the previous past couple decades of leedership done for this country, except to pander to foreign nations with such weak spines. Depending on just 2 countries for over 80% supply is not a smart decision. Second, if there is no shortage of chicken, wtf is all these price increase in chicken rice? Tiny is just yet another good excuse, the main reason would be this industry would not be a profitable one to develop. Can we not invest in neighbouring countries, both money and technology to increase their production and ensure a certain percentage of production came back to us? With water, we can recycle but with human waste, there is not yet technology to transform them back to food.

Do I hear growing fowl in your HDB and small chicks chirping also? No, I m not talking of twinks... So, when are you going to take up manual work, clean your own shit away, empty your own chute bin and apply for a construction worker job or work as a service staff during weekends or late night shifts... Singapore may not be independent from importing manpower when you stop sucking dicks but make every local girl around you pregnant! Simply because locals shun any such jobs... By the way how good is your knowledge in IT, technology and AI? Besides Canna_bis what else is growing in your flat?
