Elon Musk and Twitter

Recommended Posts

The law enforcement and district attorney in San Francisco quite understandably have to come to its own defence after being criticised by Musk about the crime situation in San Francisco.

The statements about calling Musk reckless and irresponsible came from the recipients of Musk criticism. Is there any credibility in those statements when it did not come from an independent party?

——————

The San Francisco district attorney, Brooke Jenkins, has criticized Elon Musk for making a "reckless and irresponsible" statement in relation to the recent death of tech executive Bob Lee. Lee was fatally stabbed last week, and a suspect, 38-year-old Nima Momeni, has been arrested.

At a press conference on Thursday, the San Francisco Police Department announced the arrest of Momeni, who is believed to have known Lee. The 43-year-old Lee was the founder of Cash App and a former CTO of Square. At the time of his death, he was working as the chief product officer of another fintech company, MobileCoin.

Jenkins addressed a tweet from Musk regarding Lee's death during the press conference. Musk had tweeted, "Very sorry to hear that. Many people I know have been severely assaulted. Violent crime in SF is horrific and even if attackers are caught, they are often released immediately. Is the city taking stronger action to incarcerate repeat violent offenders?" In response, Jenkins said that Musk's tweet "spreads misinformation at a time when the police are trying to solve a very difficult case."

FACT IS:

That tech CEO Lee was stabbed by a friend or alleged lover. It has never been a crime case of theft or anything of a killing to rob someone.

Please get the facts first before posting. And eventually try to use your brain, if possible.

Ecxessive repeating of opinion articles does not make the content to a fact.

Fact is that the crime situation in SF is much better in SF compared to cities in red (Republican) governed US states.

SF despite being a bigger city in US  ( Rank 13 ) it does not fall under the top 50 of cities with most crime.

These are the facts.

Cities in Republican governed US states display a much larger crime rate than San Francisco.

The DA had every right to correct the false misrepresentation that Musk made.

Fact is Bob Lee was fatally stabbed in San Francisco. Musk was not wrong to twit this about the horrible crime situation in San Francisco:

Very sorry to hear that. Many people I know have been severely assaulted. Violent crime in SF is horrific and even if attackers are caught, they are often released immediately. Is the city taking stronger action to incarcerate repeat violent offenders?"

Another fact is the crime situation is so bad in San Francisco that newly opened stores are closing down within 1 year of opening, the ordinary people living there are frightened and dismay for the security situation in San Francisco.

Bob Lee was fatally stabbed in San Francisco and not other states.

The DA in San Francisco has every right to be defensive against criticisms levelled at her, but are those defensive statements objective?

What some troll members post here as "facts" are left unsubstantiated with any supporting data.

That is not a fact, but a claim.

But then why are Red governed Republican States in the US so prominently covered in the top 50 when it comes to crime?

So far, some troll member is simply repeating excessively the same lines but never managed to present any substantiation that San Francisco fares that bad when it comes to crime, theft, shoplifting besides posting some personal opinion pieces from individuals.

Whereas the facts indicate that San Francisco while being the 13th biggest city in the US is not even within the top 50 of cities of the US with most crime.

This about objectivity.

Elon Musk may have personal grudges on San Francisco but he is advised to look at the statistics of Crime in the US first.

Maybe it doesn't just fit the narrative of Elon Musk that blue governed US states fare much better when it comes to crime...

here take a look:

The statistics of crime in the US seem to support what the District Attorney has raised, namely that San Francisco fares much better when it comes to prevent crime compared to most other big cities in the US.

The statements made by the District Attorney reflect the data on crime:

Namely, San Francisco is doing much better in crime prevention or with lower crime rates as the 13th biggest city not being despite the population size in the top 50 of US cities crime ranking .

The data was given and that troll member never managed to rebut any of these statistics with any posts:

Musk was justified in twitting about the horrible crime situation in San Francisco:

"Very sorry to hear that. Many people I know have been severely assaulted. Violent crime in SF is horrific and even if attackers are caught, they are often released immediately. Is the city taking stronger action to incarcerate repeat violent offenders?"

And Musk stated this after the horrific stabbing death of Bob Lee. It is a fact that Bob Lee was killed in San Francisco and not other states. This is irrefutable and no amount of distraction and diversion of attention can bring Lee back to life.

The District Attorney of San Francisco where Bob Lee was stabbed to death clearly needed to explain the crime situation in San Francisco. Bob Lee’s death is a high-profile murder as it attracted attention of influential people in the tech world who provide thousands of jobs. Some even have offices in San Francisco.

Whether the District Attorney of San Francisco explanation is sound or just defensive is up to readers to interpret. She should have done her job well to prevent Bob Lee’s death who was in San Francisco for a visit. Who would have known the visit is the last thing Lee did. It is tragic and San Francisco violent crime situation is rightfully characterised as horrific.

Some weird member here has repeated the exact same phrase at this thread now already 25 times.

So far this member has failed to rebut the US official crime data which shows clearly that San Francisco despite being the 13 largest city in the US ranks on a much lower level between 100 to 200th rank on crime.

The same bizarre member has also failed to offer any explanation why Republican governed US states rank prominently on top of the US cities with most crime.

Let's assume this members agitation on SF is a distraction of the facts pointing to essentially higher crime rates in Republican governed US states.

Now Tesla troubles at Space X?

Elon Musk’s SpaceX postpones debut flight of Starship rocket system

April 17, 2023

BOCA CHICA, Texas – Elon Musk’s SpaceX on Monday called off a highly anticipated launch of its powerful new Starship rocket, delaying the first uncrewed test flight of the vehicle into space.

The two-stage rocket ship, standing taller than the Statue of Liberty at 120m high, originally was scheduled for blast-off from the SpaceX facility at Boca Chica, Texas, during a two-hour launch window that began at 8am Eastern Time (8pm Singapore time).

But the California-based space company announced in a live webcast during the final minutes of the countdown that it was cancelling the flight attempt for at least 48 hours.

Houston
Houston is the largest city in the state of Texas. As commonly seen with most big cities with large amounts of residents, more people often result in more crime. From 2017-2021, Houston saw an almost 11% increase in violent crimes alone. Currently, Houston’s violent crime rate is sitting at about 13 per 1,0000 people, with a property crime rate of about 43 per 1,000 people. While it may have a bit of a higher crime rate, Houston is well-known for its unique culture, and the warmhearted environment created there.

Let us take a closer look at how bad the crime situation is in San Francisco where Bob Lee was fatally stabbed to death.

—————

San Francisco’s Road to Perdition

When the Whole Foods Market closes down in San Francisco, you know things are getting bad.

The Whole Foods outlet at Eighth and Market streets in San Francisco announced it was closing this week due to deteriorating conditions in the area.

“We are closing our Trinity location only for the time being,” a Whole Foods spokesperson said in a written statement, according to the San Francisco Standard. “If we feel we can ensure the safety of our team members in the store, we will evaluate a reopening of our Trinity location.”

The San Francisco Standard also reported that conditions in downtown San Francisco have eroded markedly in the past few years. What was once a bustling commercial part of the city shows signs of extreme decay.

“Since the start of the pandemic, Downtown has suffered a massive loss in foot traffic due to remote work,” the Standard reported. “Many small businesses have shuttered, while examples of extreme poverty, drug use, and mental illness on the street have become more apparent.”

You don’t say.

The Whole Foods closure in San Francisco comes just a week after Cash App founder Bob Lee was stabbed to death while onlookers did nothing to help. The suspect appears to have known him. The Left is apparently very excited it wasn’t random street violence. Congrats, I guess.

This wasn’t the only high-profile violence so far this month, though. A former San Francisco fire commissioner was beaten in broad daylight April 5 by a man carrying a metal pipe in the city’s Marina District.

Many other San Francisco businesses haveclosed shop, too. Walgreens shut down numerous San Francisco locations because the pharmacy chain says it isn’t worth dealing with the crime and safety issues. Lawlessness is generally bad for business.

When a particular member is unable to accept the fact that the media is merely reporting factual events such as closure of Whole Foods Market in San Francisco and fatal stabbing of Bob Lee in San Francisco, he will resort to all means to distract and divert attention.

His motive is probably hoping something will stick among all the distracting post-fillers he so desperately make.

Objective and intelligent readers will not be fooled by such tactics and will be rightfully shocked at the violent crime situation in San Francisco. So many influential people in the tech world are also saddened and horrified by the needless stabbing death of Bob Lee in San Francisco. He was still very young but his life had to end suddenly in San Francisco.

Bob Lee visited and lived in other states, but when he is in San Francisco, he was fatally stabbed to death. This is very telling…

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson will relaunch his show on Twitter

May 9 (Reuters) - Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who was taken off the air by the network last month, said on Tuesday he would relaunch his show on Twitter "soon."

Fox News Media and Carlson agreed to part ways last month, shortly after parent company Fox Corp (FOXA.O) settled for $787.5 million a defamation lawsuit in which the top-rated host played a starring role.

The outspoken Carlson embraced conservative issues and delivered his views with a style that made his prime-time show, "Tucker Carlson Tonight," the highest-rated cable news program in the key 25-to-54-age demographic on the most-watched U.S. cable news network.

Ratings slumped after his departure.

“Starting soon, we'll be bringing a new version of the show we've been doing for the last six and a half years to Twitter,” Carlson said in a video posted on the social media platform. “We bring some other things too, which we'll tell you about. But for now, we're just grateful to be here.”

Indeed. When Carlson was with Fox News, his shows regularly draw in huge viewership, far more than rival news network like CNN, CBS etc.

I guess what will stop Twitter and Carlson is more witch-hunting for “misinformation” and “lies” from them because they simply expose the quiet part out loud. Some of these parts are inconvenient or run counter to their opponents’ political propaganda and ulterior motives.

We have already seen the playbook of these opponents and won’t be surprise it will play out again.

Eg:

Ever since Carlson is on Twitter, there has been an increase of misinformation spreading on Twitter and this is made worse after Musk have sacked the contents moderation teams.

What the internet has to say about

the Gateway Pundit:

The Gateway Pundit (TGP) is an American far-right[2] fake news website.[1] The website is known for publishing falsehoods, hoaxes, and conspiracy theories.[34]

False stories and conspiracy theories

The Gateway Pundit is known as a source of viral falsehoods and hoaxes.[10][30][58] It has been described by the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology as one of the websites that "primarily propagate fake news",[20] by Newsweek as a fake news website,[59] and by CNN as a website "prone to peddling conspiracy theories".[60] In August 2019, journalism professors Erik P. Bucy and John E. Newhagen observed that "the most aggressive fake news sites and associated YouTube channels, such as InfoWars, The Gateway Pundit, and The Daily Stormer, are routinely sued by victims of these published reports for libel and defamation."[19] As a result of a number of lawsuits against The Gateway Pundit over its false stories, it was reported in March 2018 that Jim Hoft had told his writers to be more careful: "I don't want any more lawsuits so we have to be really careful with what we put up."[61] Hoft stated that he believes the lawsuits "are part of a multi-pronged effort to attack media outlets on the right".[61]

In November 2019, the Wikipedia community deprecated The Gateway Pundit as an untrustworthy source of information.[62][63]

In July 2021, a spokesperson for Google said that the company had demonetized The Gateway Pundit's homepage and some of its articles, stating: "We have strict publisher policies that prohibit content promoting anti-vaccine theories, COVID-19 misinformation, and false claims about the 2020 U.S. Presidential election – and our enforcement can be as targeted as demonetizing a specific page. We already actioned the majority of pages shared from this report back in 2020 or early 2021 and similarly stopped serving ads on the site’s homepage last year. We will continue to take appropriate action if new content is uploaded that violates our policies."[49]

The Gateway Pundit is an American website that's known for promoting ultra-conservative and frequently false “news” to its audience.

The Gateway Pundit is known as a fake news website.

In spite of Hoft’s claim that he started The Gateway Pundit to “speak the truth,” numerous sources have pegged its content as false or unreliable. Fact-checking organization PolitiFact says that roughly 59 percent of the site’s claims have been found to be fake, and 13 percent were dubbed as “mostly false.”

The Harvard Journal of Law & Technology called The Gateway Pundit one of the websites that “primarily propagate fake news.” Newsweek has also called out the website as being a “far-right fake-news website.”

Google also demonetized the website in September 2021. This was after the site had frequently promoted false information related to the pandemic, the 2020 election, and COVID-19 vaccines, Forbes reported. The site had also shared election misinformation that prompted calls for extreme violence toward election officials.

The Gateway Pundit – Alternatives, History & Reviews 2023

April 8, 2023

he Gateway Pundit is a far-right news outlet that bills itself as providing truthful and accurate reporting and analysis on the most pressing political issues in the U.S.

However, there are some concerns about whether The Gateway Pundit is as trustworthy as it claims to be.

In 2018, Newsweek and CNN both referred to The Gateway Pundit as a “fake news” site and accused it of promoting conspiracy theories. These accusations, along with others made by various media outlets, led to concerns about the credibility of the news and opinions published by The Gateway Pundit.

In 2021, both Google and Twitter took action in response to these scandals. In February of that year, Twitter permanently suspended the personal account of Jim Hoft, the founder and editor-in-chief of The Gateway Pundit, citing multiple violations of its civic integrity policy.

Around the same time, Google demonetized The Gateway Pundit’s website, which means that the site can no longer generate revenue from Google Ads.

After reviewing the TGP website, PolitiFact found that a significant portion of its content contains either partially false or completely false information, making it a questionable source of news and analysis.

They grade it on a scale of six levels and The Gateway Pundit content got rated as follows:

  • True: 4%
  • Mostly true: 4%
  • Half true: 4%
  • Mostly false: 13%
  • False: 60%
  • Pants on fire: 13%

According to the review by NewsGuard, The Gateway Pundit received a score of 20 out of 100. The assessment indicates that the website falls significantly short of the expected standards of credibility and transparency.

NewsGuard recognizes that the website openly discloses its ownership and financing details, and also takes proper measures to label its advertising content. However, those are only three out of nine criteria. Some of the other NewsGuard standards The Gateway Pundit fails to comply with are:

  • Presenting information responsibly
  • Handling corrections and clarifications
  • Avoiding deceptive headlines and practices
  • Distinguishing news from opinion
  • Providing an author bio of the site’s contributors

Besides, according to Health Feedback, The Gateway Pundit has promoted misinformation related to health, including the COVID-19 pandemic.

Furthermore, MediaBias has rated The Gateway Pundit with a “Very Low” score and has identified an extreme right-wing bias in all of its publications.

According to them, the site has a history of spreading misleading and false information using questionable sources, such as Breitbart and Mike Cernovich, who have poor track records with fact-checkers.

You can read it all up there.

To me it looks quite obvious that The Gateway Pundit is a somewhat unreliable media source.

You are walking on very thin ice here.

The media was only reporting what information was available on this Hunter Biden laptop issue.

The laptop or hard drive in the hands of Rudy Guiliani already gave sufficient rise to being suspicious about it.

The "Russian disinformation" on the Hunter Biden laptop issue came from the FBI or another Federal Intelligence unit and also from the Trump administration officials itself.

=> Washington Post and New York Times only reported what was said by the Federal Intelligence itself and the letter signed by Intelligence officials.

Substantiation:

10/19/2020

Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe said on Monday that the information on Biden’s laptop “is not part of some Russian disinformation campaign,” though the FBI is reportedly conducting an ongoing investigation into whether Russia was involved.

More than 50 former senior intelligence officials have signed on to a letter outlining their belief that the recent disclosure of emails allegedly belonging to Joe Biden’s son “has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.”

The letter, signed on Monday, centers around a batch of documents released by the New York Post last week that purport to tie the Democratic nominee to his son Hunter’s business dealings. Under the banner headline “Biden Secret E-mails,” the Post reported it was given a copy of Hunter Biden’s laptop hard drive by President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who said he got it from a Mac shop owner in Delaware who also alerted the FBI.

While the letter’s signatories presented no new evidence, they said their national security experience had made them “deeply suspicious that the Russian government played a significant role in this case” and cited several elements of the story that suggested the Kremlin’s hand at work.

“If we are right,” they added, “this is Russia trying to influence how Americans vote in this election, and we believe strongly that Americans need to be aware of this.”

The former Trump administration officials who signed the letter include Russ Travers, who served as National Counterterrorism Center acting director; Glenn Gerstell, the former NSA general counsel; Rick Ledgett, the former deputy NSA director; Marc Polymeropoulos, a retired CIA senior operations officer; and Cynthia Strand, who served as the CIA’s deputy assistant director for global issues. Former CIA directors or acting directors Brennan, Leon Panetta, Gen. Michael Hayden, John McLaughlin and Michael Morell also signed the letter.

You can say that the "Russian disinformation" claim was made by the (Former) Intelligence Officials.

There were 5 - 8 former Trump Intelligence Officials who also signed the letter that stated it was "Russian disinformation".  That was the point were the Russian disinformation topic came up.

The Washington Post did nothing other than reporting this.

You can't blame media outlets for reporting this.

The Hunter Biden was never any part of Fact Checkers on New York Times and Washington Post during the publication part in October 2020 - November 2020.

Here is the article from the New York Times after the "laptop Story surfaced at the NY Post article on the laptop:

You can read it in full:

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/10/22/us/politics/hunter-biden-laptop.html

Here I quote the most relevant part:

What We Know and Don’t About Hunter Biden and a Laptop

Published Oct. 22, 2020

...

What about concerns over Russian disinformation?

No concrete evidence has emerged that the laptop contains Russian disinformation.

With pressure mounting on the F.B.I. to respond to questions from Congress about the laptop, the bureau wrote to one of the president’s staunchest allies in Congress, Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, suggesting that it had not found any Russian disinformation on the laptop.

John Ratcliffe, the director of national intelligence, also told Fox Business Network that the “laptop is not part of some Russian disinformation campaign.” But Mr. Ratcliffe, who has been criticized for embracing the president’s political agenda in a traditionally apolitical job, did not make clear whether the intelligence agencies or the F.B.I. authenticated the laptop’s contents or whether he was simply saying that they had not gathered evidence that Russia altered any of the material.

=>

I consider the above as fair reporting.

During the relevant period is was not clear whether it was accurate or not. And this is exactly what the New York Times posted!

If you look at the issue retrospectively, you can actually conclude that the the Trump Administration officials themselves caused confusion as they were unable to state whether it was or not and only confirmed that they were still checking on it. In addition the letter signed by former Intelligence officials pointed to Russian disinformation.

Don't blame media for reporting events.

Elon Musk says he’s found a woman to lead Twitter as new CEO

11/05/2023

Elon Musk said Thursday he has found a new CEO for Twitter, or X Corp. as it’s now called — and it’s a woman. He did not name her but said she will be starting in about six weeks.

Musk, who bought Twitter last fall and has been running it since, has long insisted he is not the company’s permanent CEO. The Tesla billionaire said in a tweet Thursday that his role will transition to being Twitter’s executive chairman and chief technology officer.

In mid-November, just a few weeks after buying the social media platform for $44 billion, he told a Delaware court that he does not want to be the CEO of any company.

While testifying, Musk said “I expect to reduce my time at Twitter and find somebody else to run Twitter over time.”

More than a month later, he tweeted in December: “I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job.” The pledge came after millions of Twitter users asked him to step down in a Twitter poll the billionaire himself created and promised to abide by.

In February, he told a conference he anticipated finding a CEO for San Francisco-based Twitter “probably toward the end of this year.”

Analysts who follow Twitter’s business welcomed the news even without knowing who the replacement will be. Twitter’s advertising business has taken a hit under Musk’s mercurial rule, though the billionaire told BBC last month that the company is now “roughly” breaking even.

“A new CEO is the only way forward for Twitter,” said Insider Intelligence analyst Jasmine Enberg. “The single biggest problem with Twitter’s ad business was Elon Musk. As he steps back, Twitter can begin to unravel Musk’s personal brand from the company’s corporate image and attempt to regain trust among advertisers. The success of those efforts will depend on who takes over, but it’s difficult to imagine that the new CEO could be more controversial or damaging to Twitter’s ad business than Musk has been.”

Shares of Tesla rose about 2% Thursday after Musk made the announcement. Shareholders of the electric car company have been concerned about how much of his attention is being spent on Twitter.

Last November, he was questioned in court about how he splits his time among Tesla and his other companies, including SpaceX and Twitter. Musk had to testify in the trial in Delaware’s Court of Chancery over a shareholder’s challenge to his potentially $55 billion compensation plan as CEO of the electric car company.

Musk said he never intended to be CEO of Tesla, and that he didn’t want to be chief executive of any other companies either, preferring to see himself as an engineer. Musk also said at the time that he expected an organizational restructuring of Twitter to be completed in the next week or so. It’s been nearly six months since he said that.

Musk’s tenure at Twitter’s helm has been chaotic, and he’s made various promises and proclamations he’s backtracked or never followed up on. He began his first day firing the company’s top executives, followed by roughly 80% of its staff. He’s upended the platform’s verification system and has scaled back content moderation and safeguards against the spread of misinformation.

Bantering with Twitter followers late last year, Musk expressed pessimism about the prospects for a new CEO, saying that person “must like pain a lot” to run a company that “has been in the fast lane to bankruptcy.”

“No one wants the job who can actually keep Twitter alive. There is no successor,” Musk tweeted at the time.

Elon Musk has found his replacement as CEO of Twitter

Updated May 12, 2023

Elon Musk has announced plans for a new Twitter CEO but hasn’t said who it is. In a tweet on Thursday, Musk says that he has “hired a new CEO for X/Twitter” and that “she will be starting in ~6 weeks.” Musk will instead assume the role of executive chair and chief technology officer, “overseeing product, software & sysops” of Twitter.

According to Dylan Byers of Puck News, the new CEO will be NBC Universal advertising executive Linda Yaccarino, citing two unnamed sources.

The Wall Street Journal reported afterward that she is “in talks” to take over as Twitter CEO and that an NBCU spokesperson said Yaccarino is currently in “back to back rehearsals” for an upfront presentation to advertisers.

Twitter and NBCUniversal recently announced an expanded partnership for the service to amplify NBCU’s coverage of the 2023 Olympic Games, with Yaccarino tweeting to Musk that Twitter should bring back Periscope. She also recently interviewed Musk in person, at the Possible 2023 marketing event in Miami.

While Musk may soon no longer be CEO, he still owns the company, which he has renamed “X.” It seems unlikely that giving someone else one specific title will make Twitter any less of a wild ride. Musk became “Chief Twit” last October, when he closed his acquisition of the company, followed by the immediate firing of large portions of its executive staff and thousands of other employees.

Another question is how Musk’s divided attention has affected his other companies (Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, The Boring Company — did we miss any?) and how it will affect them in the future. In December, Tesla investors were openly calling for Musk to hand over control of Twitter as the car company’s stock price dropped to $101, just a third of its peak price over the last year, at around $314. Now, Tesla has slashed prices on vehicles and is facing lower margins in what some are calling an EV price war, as it faces more competition than ever before.

Excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks!

My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops.

— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) May 11, 2023

As Musk has reshaped Twitter policy, seemingly to match his own whims, speculation has only increased about how long his tenure would last — and how big of an effect it’s having on his other companies. The Musk era has also included changes that upset Twitter’s relationships with users, public safety officials, and others.

Musk’s Twitter takeover even affected the platform’s advertising business. Several major advertisers paused spending on Twitter over concerns that Musk’s views on free speech could damage their reputation, and the wave of fake verified accounts that appeared on the platform following the initial launch of Musk’s revamped Twitter Blue didn’t help, either.

Musk eventually rolled out a higher-priced Twitter Blue subscription, banished old “legacy” verified checkmarks for users with fewer than a million followers, and ushered in a UI makeover where users swipe between an algorithmically sorted, recommendations-based For You timeline and a chronological Following one. He also rolled out encrypted DMs for verified users only.

Musk previewed the CEO change with a December poll asking followers if he should “step down as head of Twitter,” promising to abide by the wishes of the crowd (and likely bots).

The vote appeared after Musk implemented a widely criticized policy change that seemingly banned sharing links to other social network sites. Musk later clarified and then rolled back the rule, promising that there would be a vote for major policy changes going forward — not the first time he promised decisions at Twitter would be made by committee. A few minutes later, he tweeted the poll about stepping down, which received around 17.5 million responses, with 57.5 percent indicating that he should no longer be CEO of Twitter.

The poll was hardly the first indication that Musk would eventually find someone else to take over Twitter’s day-to-day operations. In November, while testifying in court about his compensation as Tesla’s CEO, he said, “I expect to reduce my time at Twitter and find somebody else to run Twitter over time,” which lined up with earlier reports that his role as CEO was pitched from the start as a temporary one.

How does the laptop or hard drive in the hands of Rudy Guilliani give sufficient rise to being suspicious about it.  Is it a case of guilty until proven innocent based on your personal bias?

The FBI had a copy of the same laptop/hard drive for over a year but kept it under wraps and slow walked investigations to protect the Biden crime family.

Washington Post and New York Times reported what FORMER, not active Federal Intelligence said.

Now we know it was Anthony Blenkin, the current Secretary of State that started the whole charade to create a talking point on the Hunter laptop for Joe Biden in the final debate with Trump before the 2020 election.

The truth is coming out that the DOJ and FBI have been covering up for the Biden crime family.  Anthony Blenkin is a perjurer - he lied in sworn Congressional testimony.

Any US internal discussions should be made in the US thread.

Your post ignores that the hard drive of that laptop was given to the FBI when Donald Trump was still the US president and Donald Trump's administration still in power (this until 20 Jan 2021).

If anything that you posted here would be true that there was any cover up, then maybe you should blame Trump?

Your claim that Washington Post and New York Times reported what "former" not active Federal Intelligence said is also not accurate as both papers referred to the paper and reported what the then Trump appointed John Ratcliffe, the director of national intelligence said on 20 October 2020.

I gave the links and you can see that it was factual reporting by both papers.

It was all posted in my earlier post on this.

BW readers are able to read this on their own and make an assessment.

Your other points are unsubstantiated claims also.

You are posting mere claims without any evidence backing up your claims with any evidence.

You aim seems to be just to make some unsubstantiated claims.

We are departing from the Elon Musk discussion here, therefore I will limit the response to above.

Let's keep this as the Elon Musk discussion.

Elon Musk Destroys Biden With 8 Simple Words Over Foreign Corruption Scandal

Over $10 million in foreign funds were sent to nine Biden family members.

This included President Biden’s nieces and nephews as well as one of his grandchildren.

In response to the explosive evidence, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said, “The list of who didn’t might be shorter.” Take a look:

The foreign money was sent to 20 shell companies and LLCs created for the Bidens’ financial benefit.

The funds were surreptitiously shuffled around various accounts. Ultimately, in the end, the money went to nine members of Biden’s family.

These companies merely existed “to serve as a receptacle for hiding cash” and they served no real purpose.

The sole purpose of the companies was to expand the Bidens’ influence peddling schemes overseas, according to Comer.

Biden’s former White House Press Secretary, Jen Psaki, is also implicated in the scandal.

As recently as 2020, Psaki played a critical role in spreading false information to cover up corruption under Biden.

Analyzing America

Analyzing America – Bias and Credibility

QUESTIONABLE SOURCE

A questionable source exhibits one or more of the following: extreme bias, consistent promotion of propaganda/conspiracies, poor or no sourcing to credible information, a complete lack of transparency, and/or is fake news. Fake News is the deliberate attempt to publish hoaxes and/or disinformation for the purpose of profit or influence. Sources listed in the Questionable Category may be untrustworthy and should be fact-checked per article. Please note sources on this list are not considered fake news unless specifically written in the reasoning section for that source.

  • Overall, we rate Analyzing America Questionable based on extreme right-wing bias, promotion of conspiracies and propaganda, poor sourcing, and a failed fact check.

Analysis / Bias

In review, Analyzing America publishes summarized news stories from other sources. It utilizes loaded emotional headlines like GOP Red: ‘People Are Getting Hurt’ Because of de Blasio’s ‘Feckless Leadership.’ This story completely lacks hyperlinked sourcing. Story selection always favors the right and often denigrates the left, such as INSANE: Liberals Blame Trump for Rise in Antisemitism in Wake of Hanukkah Stabbing Attack. This story is sourced to the questionable Breitbart News.

Regarding sourcing, they sometimes do not provide hyperlinks and, in other cases, use far-right biased questionable sources such as the Gateway Pundit. Analyzing America also promotes conspiracy theories regarding the Clintons and pro-Trump propaganda. In general, this is a far-right biased website that lacks credibility.

Overall, we rate Analyzing America Questionable based on extreme right-wing bias, promotion of conspiracies and propaganda, poor sourcing, and a failed fact check

Someone here is seriously displaying such a deluded state to make BW readers here believe that MediaBiasfactCheck is run and operated just by one single person. ha ha.

Let's get more about Analyzing America, run by Joshua Riddle and David Rufful (self proclaimed Young Conservatives) from other sources:

28 Jul 2020

An investigation by Popular Information reveals that, since May 4, Palin's Facebook page has linked to an obscure right-wing aggregation site called Analyzing America 280 times.

https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/w_1456,c_limit,f_webp,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fbucketeer-e05bbc84-baa3-437e-9518-adb32be77984.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F70e7fd48-f5cc-4cc7-a07a-772c0964a215_1522x890.jpeg

The page is owned by Joshua Riddle and David Rufful. The pair claim to have founded Analyzing America ten years ago, but only purchased the domain in 2018. The site has been criticized for "extreme right-wing bias, promotion of conspiracies and propaganda." Last year, the site implied that Hillary Clinton might have murdered Jeffrey Epstein.

Paying for traffic isn't the only thing that Analyzing America has in common with The Daily Wire. Analyzing America also operates a clandestine network of Facebook pages to promote its content. While these pages list a variety of owners, they all post the same content from Analyzing America at the same time.

The pages in the network include Trump & The Great America (2.1 million followers), Chicks on the Right (1.3 million followers), Young Cons (998,000 followers), The Comical Conservative (2.2 million followers), Rush Limbaugh and the EIB Network (728,000 followers), and Red Symposium (162,000 followers).

The pages list a variety of owners, including Young Conservatives LLC.

https://popular.info/p/sarah-palins-facebook-grift

Young Conservatives LLC was founded by Dartmouth College graduates Joshua Riddle and David Rufful.

Josh and David own the largest Facebook page for Young Conservatives with over 1 million followers as well as The Comical Conservative Facebook page with over 2 million followers. Josh and David own numerous large news media websites, including ConservativesConnect, TheYoungConservatives, AnalyzingAmerica, NewsPageIndex, SavageTakes, and BreakingReports.

If any BW reader would go to the Analyzing America website, he or she would quickly find out how reliable such a media platform is. Look for yourself!

This 7deluded really tries to make a point here in claiming that "Analyzing America" is a reliable source of media...

If he goes on, I think soon he will also claim that Donald Trump is in fact a member of Antifa...

I give him 5 🤡 🤡🤡🤡🤡

Someone here is just unable to prove that Mediabiasfactcheck has no authority to decide which organisations are bias or whether what they report are factual or not. After he has been exposed in his inability to do so, he diverts attention and “gets more about Analzying America” by citing an “investigation” by Popular Information. Lol.

As usual, because Popular Information gives its own assessment of Analyzing America that fit his own imagined narrative, this someone will gleefully quotes from it without giving any thought to it.

Popular Information is started by another private individual Judd Legum. Judd Legum used to be a research director for Hillary Clinton failed presidential campaign. He is obviously a Democrat as Hillary Clinton is Biden‘s fellow Democrat.

Analzying America simply reported about Musk criticism of Biden’s family involvement in receiving millions of dollars from foreign shady deals. Has Popular Information done any investigation into Biden’s family money trail?

If anyone here goes to Popular Information or Mediabiasfactcheck without giving any thought like a certain someone and believes everything they read there, then they can migrate to live in that someone‘s own imagined world. Maybe those who migrate there will see some family of Biden as foreign ambassadors to US. Lol.

I give him 10 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Twitter Ads Traffic Down 18.7%

April 10, 2023

Social media advertising update sees continued year-over-year decline for Twitter

Not only did Twitter fail to drive a big volume of subscriptions in March, but ad buyer traffic continued a pattern of year-over-year declines, according to Similarweb estimates. Traffic to Facebook’s advertiser and business portal also continued a pattern of decline, off 2.6% year-over-year. For the quarter that ended March 31, ad buyer traffic was down 17.8% for Twitter and 4.6% for Facebook.

The biggest gainer was ads.Snapchat.com, which has been incrementally winning share from competitors and was up 127.5% year-over-year in March and 125.1% for the quarter.

Key takeaways

  • Traffic to Twitter’s ads portal was down 18.7%, year-over-year. Twitter lost 0.2 points in share of traffic from among the competitors we monitor. Twitter CEO Elon Musk has talked about shifting the company’s business model away from advertising, but so far the ad business is eroding and the Twitter Blue subscription service is seeing only modest success.

Outages, garbled audio: DeSantis’s 2024 launch marred by Twitter tech meltdown

Struggling platform experienced its greatest stress test yet on Wednesday, with glitches piling as more people joined the stream

Thu 25 May 2023

Ron DeSantis’s presidential campaign launch on Twitter Spaces was hyped by Elon Musk as “groundbreaking”, and extensively advertised as a new frontier for “free speech” in politics. Instead, the results were a disaster.

The event, which marked the first time a major candidate had announced their run for president on social media, marked Twitter’s latest attempt to draw more users and create profit as financial challenges mount. Since taking over the social network, laying off upwards of 80% of staff, Musk’s company has experienced a rise in technical glitches and errors.

That struggling system experienced its greatest stress test yet with Wednesday’s stream, which at 6.20pm ET had nearly 600,000 listeners tuned into Spaces, Twitter’s dedicated audio streaming feature. By Musk’s own count, it was gaining 50,000 more a minute. As the livestream began, the audio line experienced feedback, outages and garbled audio. Many users reported their Twitter apps crashing or logging them out as they tried to join the stream.

The glitches piled on for an excruciating 20 minutes. David Sacks, the Republican donor and friend of Elon Musk moderating the audio event, got a few sentences in before the stream collapsed.
