I m not a finanical advisor i cannot help you

be very wary esp to ILP which promised welcome promotions/benefits or cash upfront

This year, 57 complaints were lodged in the first half-year (just half yr) and last year's whole year complaints are only 55!! More to come

Investment-linked insurance plans: That welcome bonus could cost more than you expect

There is no reason to have ILPs in one’s portfolio, given their high fees, limited fund options and lock-in structure, says Christopher Tan, CEO of wealth advisory firm Providend.

Alwys tell yourself Investmt is invesmt

insur is Insurance

there is NO such thing as invesmt that comes w bit of Insurance!

Hey thanks. Yeah, trying to read more. Not seeking any professional advice, definitely not at bw lah haha. But appreciate your inputs. I agree the fee structure is not transparent and the lock in as you mentioned is super long. Important thing i feel is to continue educate yourself and invest.

har? when u made the purchase, u didnt know?

but not trying to pry
U may just share how much of your invesmts are into ilp v your the other invesmts and savings?and roughly when did u purchase that 2 ILP eg before covid or way much earlier ...

we been alwys sharing  since day1: not cos there are news on it

those content we shared are never ILP encouraging too

just follow the formula:

insur is insur/protect
and
Invesmts are invesmts, they are NOT speculations /gamble

all things ie not encouraged must not be in this forum/thread

ILP cant b wdrawn, hence those in the 20% composition of "Savings" must be highly liquid (of cos it include your daily savings and your salary if you are not retired)
in item 3:
it meant your endowment/ILP is already due eg i recently gotten back my SSB since 2015s that era
it was 10yrs but dueing
ie fine that made u sure that your 20% is getting liquid

again applying the formula mentioned countless(above) , item 1 (10%) is the Insur/protection and it is fine to be less than 10%
you may classify ILP into that if you deemed ur ILP as insurance /protection (i m not God, i dont set these definition, some of your lifestyles could be very unique and i dont know all your portfolio*)

*
but for sure i know and heard of many Gen X and above /boomers tend to compose it with 50% ILP and Insurance instead

If you apply 10-70-20, you are in a controlled spending.

1. 10% +/- into protection, such as term,life,hospital insurance

2. 70% into spending such as car loans, house loans, and the other 11 categories I shall elaborate next time

3. 20% into savings. It can be cold cash in bank, such as high yield saving. if need be, Into endowment, into ilp. Anything that is used as 6 mths emergency cash, liquidfiable. After 6 mths cash, consider to split some into investment around 4% &  above

i believe there is a much older thread also on investmts here ....

as a noob yes @milodinosaur91
of cos

I believed u have already bought by NOW since u asked last wed and it take one click to do it on a robo

just wondering why didnt you pick Endowus Robo or Syfe robo (brokerage) instead?

but once u r not a noob , u may use other apps

S&P still have a few more years before it will crash
you may only start to take note after next mid year

Very detail discussion.
Unfortunately, the wait for bed at public hospital is too long. Even seeing a doctor/specialist there needs to join long queue. They even ask you to go elsewhere if you can’t wait.

Bluerunner
are u ref to Emergency cases

or planned for an op case?

For emergency yes, the wait is long but they will still place you in a unit ie Air-conditioned, and the care is still there
not too bad though it is parking for a ward situation

my whose child is a doc, he said he suffered , not possible to take leave, have to plan it according to a team of doctors , yes , there is Off-in-lieus , there is leave but hard to take them ....
cos doctors not enough, and Sg's public hosp has hired many foreign talents already

i need ONLY one gd hospital

(less is MORE , not pay MORE to mORE it)
my CEO too (Sg PR) felt that too
Rem when Heng Heng and the dua liap Ministers fainted ,they are all rushed to SGH and nowhere else

I willl "kill" u if u dare to send impt characters to non-world class hospital please

I started trying both stashaway and endowus during covid ... just contribute monthly. today it's at:

Endowus: +22.42%
Stashaway: +23.63%

I dunno, not finance bro. I live debt free, dont go holiday. Now my CPF got 500k and between both stashaway (25k), endowus (30k), sg bond (25k)..

not rich but not poor, everything stuck in investment cause i scared poor at old age, so suffer now so can relax later.

even if it s endowus U need to decide which u r buying into

most used their CPF OA to buy endowus 's
U can use POEM to buy too(dont have to be endowus)
why let ur CPF rest? OA is 2.5% unless  u transfer them to SA
U can compare and contrast what do u luv
https://endowus.com/investment-funds-list
after u add the "+" sign and then u can compare them(on the right) there is a compare fund
