Why?
I have always thought that GRC was a hoax because at certain point in time when there was no minority representation, there is no bi-election. Another myth is that it makes the town run more efficiently, but when you see the new SMC being created in the middle of a GRC, you have to ask yourself why a mole would suddenly appear out of nowhere as destraction. Another partisan invention is Hougang SMC suddently vanished from the new map even though it is currently in opposition ward. Extreme insecurity is evident throughout the entire operadi, which is clumsy, deceptive, and manipulative to get more seats and rule indefinitely. singalion
No, the statistics and historical data are different... After approving the new constituency's boundaries the election in the past 4 elections took place ... in 1 day (2001) to a maximum of 3 months and 12 days. (Not sure they will exceed the longest period, doubt so). After consulting my personal crystal glass (half empty) voting has mostly been during school holidays due to schools being used as voting centers. Voting for General Elections in Singapore most often took place on Saturdays... The election could come the next days (school holidays 15 March to 23 March, and 31 May to 29 June). It will be a Saturday, eventually) because that saves the additional public holiday on Monday (as most private entities don't have this rule) If the holiday falls on a non-working day or off day, the employer may decide to compensate the employee with an extra day’s pay in lieu of that holiday or give the employee another day off as a holiday. Note: May = discretion, not must! The last two elections election day was a Friday, but all previous elections up to 2001 took place on a Saturday... *(exception 2 Jan 2001) Election Day might be: (as my crystal glass was affected by the upcoming full moon light, any full analysis on the exact day was not possible) => March: 15 or 22 March or May/June: 31 May, (7 June is a Public Holiday) , 14 June, 21 June or 28 June. Not normal, unless they are waiting for Pritam Singh to be charged, then they are more willing to wait half a a year later, but the risk of backslash is also quite high. Otherwise, election was often call swiftly after announcing electoral boundary changes to avoid giving opposition too much time with the voters. I forsee sometime in April/May. May is more likely than June, when many Singaporeans will be overseas because of the school holidays, said Associate Professor Bilveer Singh, who is deputy head of NUS’ department of political science. He also thinks the election will be held before the Shangri-La Dialogue from May 30 to June 1. “So it will be some time in early May, with Parliament being dissolved in the second or third week of April, as happened in the 2011 election,” he said. https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/politics/ebrc-formation-when-could-ge2025-be-held-and-how-might-boundaries-be-redrawn there are more than one option avail in googling me https://x.com/gnnbccb?s=21&t=WxsKRj9hm-pT2wyoEmonPQ

The verdict has already been (one month ago)! ELD confirms sentence imposed on Pritam Singh does not reach threshold to disqualify him as an MP ST PUBLISHED Feb 17, 2025, SINGAPORE –Workers’ Party (WP) chief Pritam Singh, who was fined a total of $14,000 for lying to a parliamentary committee, will not lose his seat and be disqualified from standing in the upcoming general election, said the Elections Department (ELD) on Feb 17. Disqualification from being an MP under the Constitution is based on the sentence imposed for a single offence, the ELD said in its reply to The Straits Times’ request for comment. This means that if a person is charged with multiple offences and the sentence imposed for each of those offences does not reach the disqualification threshold of imprisonment for a term of not less than one year or a fine of not less than $10,000, the person is not disqualified from being an MP, it said.
