I’ve never been to any of the gay massage places in Taiwan. But typically can anyone advise what is a reasonable tip for such services?

I don't think they expect a tip.

Does anyone have any reviews of AK Man Spa recently? Feels like it’s hit or miss with them and wondering if anyone has a solid rec (Force is very much my type for reference)

thanks in advance!

The guys are not like the pictures.  Tbh it would be good if they showed something more Realistic.  Also the one I tried was not enthusiastic to engage at all.

Just came back from Kaohsiung and stayed at singl inn linsen.  Got a private room instead of a dorm... you know for privacy.   The place was ok for the price, its just inconvenient to get to.  Its a bit of a walk from Kaohsiung station.  The other single inn was closer to the station and along the way to the one I stayed in.

The main "attraction" is the bathhouse!  and boy was there a lot of cruising.  Some guys signaled their intention by sitting beside me at the steam room even when the room is empty.  Sometimes they will just stand in front of you at the pools for a very long time.  Others outright touch themselves while looking at me.  Hoo.  That place got hot really quick.

I prefered the sparse 3-5 people crowd in the morning.  The nighttime was just a bit too crowded.

My cruising v-card was taken away there.  It was with a gorgeous guy who looked like a younger Gento Kukuryu.  Full beard 5-o'clock shadow with a nice hairy chest and treasure trail.  Whoo my lord!  He gave me a blowjob and swallowed my load.  It was so hot.  I was flustered and had to leave the inn asap after it was done.  I even forgot to take my blood pressure meds.  The next day, another guy gave me a bj too but my seed spilled on his body.  I did not reciprocate the bjs for fear of catching things but they seemed ok with it.

Both happened in the shower stalls.  So the trick is, if you fancy someone and they fancy you; both go to the bath stalls without closing the doors.

I got such a confident boost there as a middle aged uncle.  Ive never felt so attractive in my life! (hair flip)

Funny thing ive noticed in the private rooms is that the gays there are like prowling tigers.  The moment your door unlocks at night, you will hear some doors unlocking too and they all head to the toilets.  This happens eveytime i take a leak in the middle of the night.

The inn was just incredible for me.

Its just a pity the city doesnt have that much to offer me as a tourist.

Anyone know what the situation at the other branch nearer the main station looks like?

Sounds interesting. Staying for 4 nights in their Taipei branch. Will it be this interesting?

The bath is really small but i preferred taking a bath here as the stalls are quite cramped.  I usually go around 8 or 9 pm and its almost always empty.  Ive never tried going to the baths at midnight though.  That may be the best time to go if you are looking for some action.  Do let us know the happenings if you are staying there!  I would stay there again just for the hot pool and its price.

Just returned from Taiwan last friday. Visited Hi-man sauna in Kaoshiung and Hans sauna in Taipei. I prefer HANS more than Hi man. Entrance fees for Hi man in Kaoshiung is 700ntd for the weekend which I think is a bit expensive. I visited Hi man sauna on friday evening around 9pm after Liuhe night market. Not very crowded around 15-20 guests  during my visit.  Got approached by the locals and dare not stay long at the hot steam room which link to the dark room, facilities a bit run down. Kaoshiung people I can say that they are friendly and helpful.

HANS sauna in Taipei is much more fun and crowded. I paid only 400ntd on wednesday evening. It's actually in Ximending area and walking distance to Ximen MRT station. The area no doubt is much wider and bigger than Hi man, Kaoshiung. All sorts of men available in HANS sauna, from muscular to chub and to skinny. Had fun with a muscular local. Overall HANS is a nice place to visit in Taipei.

Visiting Baltics coming december, care to share some of your experiences

Can attest to that. Overall i thnk Hans is cleaner than kb on any day. Hans is def better for me due to my age as opposed to club XL whose guys are all hunky and very choosy.

Planning to stay there again later this year.  If you had some action, how did you intiate?  The pool is immediately visible when you open the door.  Im curious as there isnt much hiding place to do anything.

Stayed there previously before n didnt really see anyone at the pool. Toilet moderately to not very cruisy. But i personally dont like the sound proofing and the feel like as if im sleeping in a sauna cubicle

Thanks for the warning about the room being like a sauna.  I also read reviews regarding the lack of cooling and circulation.  Last time I stayed, it was November and temperature was ok.  This time I will be there September and it will be hot and humid outside.

Thinking of visiting Taipei for a vacation later this year. Anyone has recommendation for an onsen/hotspring that is family friendly? I see beitou has several but is quite a distance away, so looking for within Taipei that is not the hanky panky kind 😅 thanks

Posted

A question for @Mr Clueless or @And then, or anyone else who knows.

I have an upcoming stay at Single Inn Linsen, and have booked single room for male.

Do I need to request a particular floor or is the whole place cruisy?

There's only one floor and it's only the sauna that is. So you don't have a request for a particular floor like miniinn

The entire hostel is in one large basement level.  I only stayed in the single rooms so I cannot comment if the dorm side is cruisy.  Your key card only gives you access to either the single rooms or the dorm.

Do let us know of your experience there.

Beitou is on the outskirts of Taipei.  It is accessible by public transport, but it may take a bit of time.  The attraction of Beitou hot springs is that it is open air and the spring water is natural.

I am not aware of open air hotsprings in the heart of Taipei with natural hot spring water.

the public bath is the main attraction as i also stayed in the single room.

generally the steam room for general play, and the shower cubicles for 1-to-1

i have not brought anyone staying in the dorm into my room, but have played with others who are also staying in the single rooms.

speaking to others staying in the dorm, there can be activities once the lights are out

Onsen in Taipei all outside city but easy accessable by Public Transport. Beitou most convenient, follow by YangMingShan & Wulai.

Yea, trying to plan like after a day of sightseeing then to relax at a hotspring after dinner instead of almost planning half a day to go beitou specifically but will see how it goes

I stayed precovid, and I didn't specify too. In the middle of the night, a young man was reprimanded by another (supposed planted spy from management) for disturbing the guests in the dorm. The young man was chased out of the dorm.

I personally think that was too harsh on the young man.

Didn't you find the KTV rooms too... open?... I'm shy by nature, and singing in there is like performing for even those looking in from outside. I admire your courage for doing it naked!

Yes, it is open.  I suppose singing naked takes a bit of getting used to.  But I was concentrating on the lyrics and voice control, not the other patrons' "hairy microphones" 😁 so it was not so bad.
