Yunomori is not a gay spa so it's not meant to be inherently sexual. Things may or may not happen but people generally try to be discreet. It's best to exercise caution because it is an environment where there will be straight people, and sometimes families. If the staff find you in violation of the rules, you can get kicked out. 

People tend to be nervous about having erections, but the fluctuations in temperature between the different pools usually make it difficult to maintain an erection or become erect accidentally, so I would say don't worry about it. If you get an erection, it will probably go away when you move between the pools.

Agree. The more you 'kan cheong' about your erection, the faster it grows and attract more attention.

Just be cool about it. It's not as if men there have never seen an erection before.

both are equally conducive. if you are looking to purely relax, weekends are better though sundays are slightly less crowded than saturdays.

In my recent visit to the onsen (about 1-2 weeks back), I realized I started to cough before leaving. Initially, I thought I was the only person. After checking with 2 of my friends who went along with me, I found out that they both have experienced the same thing; cough, itching throat and even some phelgm forming inside the throat. Can't be just a coincident. Be vigilent.

You might want to spend a minimum of 10 minutes in the dry sauna to help remove excess water vapor from your lungs after spending an extended period in the steam room. Alternatively, avoid frequent and prolonged stays in the steam room.

 

Prolonged stays in a cold pool can lead to similar symptoms. Therefore, using the similar technique to eliminate excess water vapor in the lungs could be beneficial in such situations.

Same experience here too! And it happened for both of the two times I went in the past recent months. It could be that patrons who already have an existing cough are spreading it there.

I think it's less crowded in the daytime on weekdays, but it can get crowded in the evening in part because of the one-for-one promotion. 

The one-for-one deal (one member can bring in one guest free) is from Mondays to Thursdays from 7 pm onwards, only until the end of the year.

In my recent visit, I noticed that almost 80% of the men in the onsen were clean shaven. That’s a high number. 
I don’t remember seeing so many clean shaven men previously. Looks like that’s the trend among (gay) men? 
Kindly share your view.

I think recently there's been more of a push in selling male hygiene products and services towards straight men too. The marketing for companies like Manscaped is very "bro"-centric, emphasising a sense of humour in their ad copy that generally appeals to straight men, and ads that suggest that women prefer men with clean-shaven or trimmed pubic hair, so I think manscaping in general has become more widely accepted and practiced. Then there are regional companies like Meridian and Nateskin competing with companies like Manscaped, with established brands like Philips also pushing out similar male grooming products. So I think we are mostly past the conception of msnscaping being something that only gay and bi men do.

It has been a while visited yunomori, I must say there is great change it used to be stuffy and warm and ice bath super super icy, today i went wow, ice bath tolerable, steam room not as foggy and not as stuffy as it used to be. I should be going there more and often now.
