Tokyo / Fukuoka / Sapporo (Japan ) - Massage / Sauna / Places To Visit (Compiled)

Osaka sportsmen club

Friday 4.30pm till 7.30pm

Entry 1900Y

First visit there

Enter put shoes in locker

No coin required just lock and pull key out then give to attendant.

Go up one up to the lockers.

Locker area is extremely brightly lit, so strange.

Also on that level are a couple of toilets, 2 private rooms, and an open play area.

Go back downstairs is a smoking TV area, a few shower heads plus a hot dry sauna.

Level 3 is basically play area (mats on the floor) with 3/4 zones

There is only one "bed" which was raised about 30cm off the floor

Level 4 has one standing room only lit mirrored cubicle.

Behind it is a darkish play area (3 mats)

Age group mostly 40s. One or two older guys (60s).

A few 30s esp towards latter part of my stay

It's not big. Max capacity 48 lockers?

It is pretty good for voyeurs as it is not that dark. So you can people fornicating in front of you.

Mostly raw too from what I see.

I wasn't informed but as you go up to level 2 there are bottom bands you can take to wear. The sad thing is many many were wearing those bands. Alamak.

It does put a dampener on things I feel cos I would not bother interacting with them knowing they are fellow btm. Whereas say in SG we might still have a cuddle, oral etc before knowing their role

I also saw older guys around 60s there but there arent too many.  Most are around 40s and 50s and are mostly lean or muscular.  I dont think they really check for age unless its very evident.

Someone grabbed me when I went to look at the 4th floor.  I resisted and he just smiled at me.  I quickly went back down as I also read its the no refusal zone.   I did get to see a glimpse of a bottom getting attention from 5 men.

There were a couple of guys in their 60s.

Definitely most guys are just average body, sprinkled with a few gym fit types.

I read about the no refusal thing but I was not told and there were no indications at level 4 about that

I also remember something funny. There is a black light on one of the rooms and one guy's face lit up because of his sun block.  It was strange seeing a floating face in the dark.

This is a tough question. Hahaha.  If it were me, id say konpira then daikichi.  Both are a bit of a walk from the train station though.

Daikichi is somewhat like 24 kaikan in Tokyo.  The age range tend to skew older and more normal to bearish body types.  I read they check passports but I wasnt asked for mine when I was there. Pretty big area with a dry and steam sauna.  The cruising area has no private room so everyone is doing it in full view of everyone else...  And I like that its not too dark.

One of them is for sure konpira.

Second one depends. Spaworld for eye candy++++ and a reasonable chance of light fun (yesterday had 4 encounters plus few others who i didn't pursue cos felt a bit numb already)

If wanting heavy action, daikichi if you're in the umeda area, or sportsmen club if you're down south. Avoid SMC if you don't like stairs. Very steep stairs!

My one experience of Daikichi was not super good.

Much quieter than 24K in shinjuku.

Despite being weekend late afternoon/evening.

No ID check and there were definitely guys there way over their stated age range

Daikichi has better facilities than SMC for sure. But SMC felt spicier

never been to Daikichi, but SMC was disappointing for me - crowd was so few, passive and uninteresting.

for osaka, spaworld is still the best - unlimited eye candies and chance of fun in the milky pool

@QinWei why does it matter if one is rich or poor, old or young when enjoying certain activities such as onsen/spa/overseas trip?? I had seen quite a few of your posts questioning/commenting people that "you must be rich to go _____". You're already more than half a century old, please know what to say, and what not to say.

If you have some suggestions to offer, just state those opinions on the topic/question asked, a person's affordability is not an issue here. If I see any more comments you made on people's affordability to go certain places, it will all be removed, take note!!

I heard of ITE students also need to do post graduation trips to damned expensive countries  too

Are u going there alone?? which month? November? Wont need to prepare for NS?

TOkyo has it all if you are into young ones and your trip is strictly just to soak up culture ? no other stuff

Why not Vietnam , Thailand?

same! ill be heading to tokyo late nov. how many layers of outerwear do you recommend? my priority would just to have wholesome fun, such as shopping/anime/yaoi dungeon/animal cafe/ramen/food/attractions/amusement parks etc. ximending is taiwan's touristy spot, is shibuya the equivalent? i also read that shinjuku is tokyo's gay district

i do want to try some naughty stuff ;) but its not my priority. maybe gay onsens there, massage, and just some quiet bars to enjoy myself

This year will be my first time visiting Japan in Nov, but you should be able to do with innershirt + sweater + light-ish jacket. I won't be in Tokyo though, going to Osaka and other places

Shibuya is where most of the shopping is. Also near Harajuku (popular with the young crowd). Shinjuku Ni-chome is where most of the gay spots are. You can also consider Akihabara for the sex toy shop 😉

For bars you may wanna check out which ones are more foreigner-friendly or have English speaking staff

When it comes to Tokyo, it's not about the layers.

thankszzz, btw when u when to tokyo, which hostels do u recommend? i've booked the ashin oyado tokyo man shinjuku one hehe

Can't really help you there because I always stay in hotels haha! But you could do some research online! Maybe try japangayguide on Instagram and see from there? There are plenty of resources on the web too, just search for "gay travel tokyo" or "LGBT friendly hostels tokyo"

If you intend to visit gay saunas, some are not foreigner friendly either. So gotta do your research and find out. Some have v strict rules for even hairstyles and physiques

Cool! Your first capsule experience! Anyway I've tried a number of diff capsule places in Japan (though I've not stayed in the one you've booked, so some of the comments may or may not apply specifically)

Possible Age Limits
Many of these capsule places have some sort of age limit (usually 18) - so if you're travelling with friends, need to be mindful of that (in case somebody's 18th birthday hasn't occurred yet).

'Checking out' every day
Some capsule hostels have the policy where you have to shift out every day while they clean the capsules (even if you have booked a continuous number of days). Check with the hostel / scan through the reviews on this. Usually this means that you need to be physically outside the building during some hours in the daytime so that the staff can clean each and every capsule / make the bed / etc. Usually you will be able to leave your stuff in the locker / luggage room (check with hostel).

Lockers
Scan through the reviews to see if anybody has commented on the size of the locker. Yes it's likely there will be some room or somewhere for you to store luggage/bag if they don't fit in the locker, but it's a lot more convenient if your day bag at least can fit into the locker, to reduce the no. of times you have to go open up your big luggage (esp if the luggage room is on a diff floor or sth)

Capsule rules
The hostel will usually give a long list of rules - read carefully to avoid misunderstandings. The usual ones are like, no eating in the capsule, etc. If your hostel has a lounge where they allow you to consume outside food in, then you'll be able to enjoy all the 7-11 / family mart / lawson snacks there. (yes you will likely really want to go explore the convenience stores) Some hostels do not allow outside food into the building at all - these will usually have some sort of in-house restaurant. If there is an in-house restaurant, usually they will record your capsule number (which is on the tag the receptionist will give you when you check in - you keep that tag on your wrist, it has your locker key on it). Then the bill will be settled when you check out, or possibly the next time you pass the key-tag to the reception. Some capsule hostels will want you to pass them back that key-tag every time you leave the hostel (eg. to pop out to buy snacks). This is when they will settle whatever miscellaneous bills you have chalked up - such as vending machines inside the hostel or additional services like restaurant food or massages, etc. Oh yeh, I usually take a photo of the key-tag number just in case I forget what number it is.

Laundry
Most capsule hostels (ok actually all the capsule hostels I've been to) likely have some laundry service / laundry machines - possibly because many capsules cater primarily to Japanese workers who work late and miss the last train home, etc. If you want, you could reduce the amt of clothes you bring, and just get them washed. Likely (pls check) the capsule hostel will provide some attire for you to wear within the hostel so there won't be an issue of having nothing to wear while the clothes are in the wash (if that's a concern).

Baths
The most exciting part of the capsule experience 😃 Most public baths / onsen in Japan do not allow users in if they have tattoos - no matter how small. If you usually wear glasses, feel free to just wear the glasses in - nobody's going to say anything. Also, don't assume the sides/floors of the pools are going to be regular - some places can be quite creative with rocky uneven surfaces inside their pools. There's lots of different accessories and products provided in the baths - feel free to explore and see what others do if you're lost. (won't say so much on this cos there's likely plenty of videos/websites detailing Japanese public bath stuff) Take note of any bath cleaning hours though - you don't want to come back too late and end up missing the bath.

*side note for future trips - there's a variety of interesting public bath layouts in different hostels. recently i was in a capsule hostel that had a COLD sauna - supposedly it was minus 15*deg based on the electronic display.

Sorry for long post. Anyway, have a great trip! And all the best for your A Levels!

I have never stayed in a capsule hotel, but it seems fun (esp in JP and TW ).

Are the capsules noise insulating? For their sake, not mine

Usually not - one can hear everything from coughing, snoring, etc. But people are usually considerate and try to minimise noise so it isn't too bad. Some places provide earplugs - I've not tried them though. Usually sleep comfortably enough.

is it common that in such hostels there be some people who will approach you/come near your bed and touch u at night?

In my experiences I've not encountered this. Not even any sort of slight rustle of the pull-down screen/curtain.

Possibly (just a hypothesis) most of the other guests at the places I've stayed at were local workers / salarymen who OT late, check in, bathe, sleep and have to rush out to work early again the next day. Or maybe it's the Japanese sense of politeness not to do anything that might disturb/inconvenience others the slightest bit - given the lack of soundproofing in the capsule areas. (Of cos could also just be me hahaha)

Anyway, you might want to check out sites like gayifiers or maybe some of the much earlier posts in this thread.

namwa massage is a good spot in Tokyo

So, just to give this a review. I guess it comes down to picking the right masseur (or maybe not because I don't know how they generally treat non-Japanese).

Chose this masseur called Kento since I saw reviews that he could speak some english (and can be quite naughty). When I arrived, he definitely was handsome and fit. Maybe i overestimated the english-speaking ability haha but didn't matter.

It started with a shower, where he showered together and gave me a scrub. This part was kinda fun, kissed a bit too.
Come the massage, standard face down first. But here's where I felt...it was quite lacking. At some points, Im sure he was also using his phone which was quite annoying. It wasn't even super sensual (and I have tried way more sensual masseurs in Japan prior) so I was feeling kinda meh already. When he asked me to turn face up, the massage became non-existent LOL. It was more like sidefun at this point (not complaining). The ending was when he put it between his thighs and simulate fun.

Thing is, the massage was supposed to be 2h and it was cut short. A part of me felt like, maybe because Im non-Japanese so to reduce awkwardness whatnot, they kinda just want to get the job done and move on. Just expected more professional treatment during the session itself.

I have stayed here before, it used to be much cheaper and it was enjoyable.

Although men only, it did have female staff manning the counter and operations (during when I went), and it's not a place to seek fun - in fact, I didn't even notice any cruising happening there. The sento it had was clean, decent, and guys were mixed bag of every kind, including foreigners.

Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper, the snoring can be loud. There's a mini tv in the capsule and you can watch porn on it lol, though the naughty bits are censored as you would expect in JAV

Enjoy your stay and share with us your experience when you're back!

Spaworld is eye candy heaven for sure. I am leaning towards to Europe zone now that the small steam room in Asia is not in use. That steam room has been out of order for two months!  But for fun nothing beats Konpira

Spaworld - Just went to Osaka in late April and the steam room in the Asian Zone is back in action and it was always filled with people even at 1030pm! Lots of eye candies from high school to college and even a few hunks.

Best place to cruise - the toilet or last row of showers near the toilet beside the Bali Zone.

Do note that Asian Zone for men is on every even months. For odd months (May/Jul) - Men will be using the European Zone.

Great that the steam room is working again

I read that they did something to the milky pool, changed to clear water. did you see that?

Yes clear water now

To stop people from doing weird things and staying too long in the peranakan tub

Damn

So no more doing the milk pool--> steam room--> milk pool circuit

Even though I prefer the steam room to the milk pool, I guess that the change to clear water will mean that the cruisers will all end up constantly in the steam room, which will ironically impede any actual play there
