PATRICK VIVIAN LEE Posted March 2, 2020 Report Share Posted March 2, 2020 A second time customer requesting for a 90min session as he found the pace very relaxing and the duration is just right. 60mins passed very quickly especially when you start to enjoy the massage and it comes to an end. I have on several occasions that customers who started on a 60min massage when nearing its end; asked me if they can extend another 30 minutes. It would be easy to say yes and earned another $30; but the result will be less than ideal. This is because my massage both 60 and 90 min have a fixed sequences of strokes of varying duration. In a 90min massage the extra time is evenly spread out for the various strokes; so the effect is more soothing and satisfying. From my own experience of working on XXL clients, I say it requires twice as much as strength and also twice as much massage oil. It would seem logical that they should be charged a premium; but I do not because that would be a form of discrimination. It would be wrong to assume that every XXL person eats excessively and is responsible for their own oversized body. On the contrary obesity can often be a genetic condition; and so I am always remain sympathetic towards those who are XXL and will not reject any of them who come to me for a massage. While some masseurs will gently pushed the clients hands away; some masseurs just accept it as part of the outcome of a man to man massage. Few clients stopped to think that their fondling is a great distraction to the masseur who is trying to focus on giving a good massage. By nature I am quite a symmetrical person and I try to do for the right side of the body the same as I do for the left side; I achieved by this by counting the number of strokes and also using a digital clock to guide me. Fondling is a major distraction for the masseur and the one who loses most is the client himself. As such I advised all clients to show respect for the masseur and keep your hands to yourself. Not only do older men prefer mature masseur but also the younger customers themselves also prefer a mature masseur. Such bias and prejudices may not be fair but then everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Nonetheless I am truly grateful to have an opportunity to make massage as my full time work because of those who seek for mature masseur. It is true that to compensate for my lack of youthfulness or good looks; I put in lots of efforts to deliver a good massage. They have make clear that the penalty will be severe for those who go against the national effort to contain the spread of the Covid 19 virus. In this regard, all incall or outcall massage services are prohibited. How capable is the government ability to catch those who flout the restriction order is anyone guess; but we at Blowing Wind is a community and none of us should do anything that will impact the operation of this forum. Saying no has not been easy because this lock down leaves us with nothing much to do except plomp infront of the TV. Almost everyday I still get request for massage from clients who are willing to take the risk; however the risk is not about being caught by the authorities but catching the virus and passing it on to others. PATRICK VIVIAN LEE Posted April 13, 2020 Report Share Posted April 13, 2020 A few of my regular customers do not think it is so easy the government to catch anyone who flout the do not meet with anyone not living in the residence; but that's missing the point. It is not about being caught but more of social responsibility to protect ourselves and others from potentially catching the Covid virus. Unlike those who can work from home they can communicate with their colleagues online; but I am unable to interact with any of my customers at all. I don't pretend this is easy but I have to look at the bigger picture. It will be great for all masseurs here in BW to support the government efforts at reducing physical contacts to curb the spread of the Covid virus. If anyone in BW is caught flouting the law; it will bring bad publicity to this forum. As nearly all our customers are the members and visitors of BW; it is the lifeline for all the masseurs. Regular customers saying nobody will know that I am still doing massage if we keep it discreet. Believe me as someone who is a full time masseur, this CB is a total loss of income and do not know how long it will last? Just yesterday Singapore has another new record high of 386 new cases of infection; we need to take this CB seriously if we want it to end soon. I urged all masseurs here to join with the whole nation to bring an end to the covid pandemic. You can be sure with the new high record, the government is looking for some scapegoats to use as deterrents. I provide massage and as well as also get a massage for myself once every fortnight; so I am also feeling the uneasiness and restlessness but this is a bullet we all have to bite. More tough for me is that as long as the circuit breaker continues I will not have any income; but survive on my savings. If Hong Kong can control and bring down the number of daily infections to a single digit; Singapore which is often compared with HK should be also able to achieve this. The self determination which saw us transformed from a Third World nation into a First World nation; should be applied towards dealing with this covid pandemic. PATRICK VIVIAN LEE Posted April 16, 2020 Report Share Posted April 16, 2020 I see good news in the yesterday report of new covid cases; 38 was local transmission and 400+ was in the dormitories. This mean that the local Singaporeans are taking the CB seriously and there is hope the local transmission may go down to a single digit just like in Hong Kong. Singapore is just beginning to realise that we have not taken good care of our migrant workers; and hopefully this crisis will lead to more decent and comfortable housing solutions for them. Once the government quickly tackle the problem of covid spread in the dormitories; then life would soon return back to normal. Regardless of your religion; let's unite our hearts to pray for the covid spread to be brought under control in Singapore and also the other countries. PATRICK VIVIAN LEE Posted April 20, 2020 Report Share Posted April 20, 2020 (edited) As of this afternoon there are 1426 infections of which only 16 are community spread; that is good news for the general public but bad news for foreign workers living in dormitories. However since it is now known that the cause of the high incidents of infection at dormitories is due to overcrowding; it therefore an aread we can now deal decisively but it will take some time before improvements to their housing options can be implemented. I am becoming more confident that we (Singapore) will soon have the covid pandemic under control. Meanwhile lots of hugs for everyone here. PATRICK VIVIAN LEE Posted April 22, 2020 Report Share Posted April 22, 2020 We are seeing some positive results from the present CB; but not time to relax the rules yet for fear of another sudden spike especially among the wider community. The government has said that if in the next two weeks the community spread comes down to a single digit, we can see some incremental relaxing of the social distancing rule. The extension to 1 June would be a cautionery step. I am hopeful the community spread will come down to a single digit; and then people not in the same residence will be allowed to meet which means our massage services can be resumed. Looking forward, I have bought a contactless temperature thermometer, disinfecting alcohol and face masks; to ensure good hygiene practice when business resume. This I feel is the way we show appreciation to the customers who support us and also looking after their well being. Meanwhile stay strong, stay safe and stay home.
