Who or what do you think is the biggest enemy of Mother Earth and why?

"Enemy" of Mother Earth?  I think that planets and other celestial bodies don't have enemies.

If a planet like Earth after some time got infected and covered with a sheet of a strange substances called living creatures, all it has to do is wait some millions of years for the infection to die out.  Our sun is not expected to burn out in the next 5 billion years,  so the Earth has plenty of time to become healthy again.

Like the healthy and bad microorganisms in our bodies, not all substances are harmful. The good ones have noble goals. To maintain a balanced, healthy planet, it is best to get rid of the bad ones as soon as possible. In my opinion, the majority of them may be found in the western regions of the planet.

Since the planet Earth has the form of a sphere,  the terms western and eastern have no absolute meaning.

From my personal perspective my western regions are San Francisco, then Hawaii, then Japan,  then China, and... even Singapore.   I don't think that your island has "the majority of bad ones".  :)

At this instant, what I want to correct in this world is my posture on the chair.  And to correct it,  I will sit more straight.

What global problems do you think need to be addressed urgently and how will you use your voice to persuade people to join them?

I think that the most important problem we face is overpopulation.  And the message to persuade people is:

Countries that are NOT overpopulated,  like America,  should accept refugees and other immigration.  We have in the US a SHORTAGE of working force today.  For example, a big problems surge now with a shortage of teachers.  And semiconductor manufacturing companies face problems opening new plants because there is a shortage of competent people to work there.

What do YOU know???  I adjusted my posture on the chair without even touching the chair,  an ergonomic Herman-Miller chair.  :)

Now getting more serious....

Some may wonder why I post so many videos about improving lifestyle with better exercises and nutrition.  A long-time retiree, in the years of covid pandemic I found more motivation to care for my health and I got interested in improving my nutrition.  After some research and trying new ways,  I am convinced that there is a positive change in the pursue of health that prevails over traditional medicine and anticipates new ways to prevent illness that eventually will modernize medical treatments, doctor's education.

It might be smart to try out new ways that are safe to pursue, BEFORE waiting for decades that medicine and doctor's methods catch up,  a wait that could deprive us of better health and end up leaving us screwed up!

Examples of these new ways are:  learning all we can about good metabolism,  ways to avoid or correct insulin resistance, fatty liver, diabetes, obesity, dementia.  Learning which carbohydrates to give up, what protein to increase ingestion, how to restrict number of meals by doing good fasting, how to experience good sleep and avoid stress.

To anyone who has similar interests,  I strongly recommend watching the following video, one of many good ones:

Here the interviewed is the professor, researcher Ben Bickman,  interviewed many times but I like the way he explains clearly his mind in this video.  He is a PhD in bioenergetics and was also a post-doctoral fellow in nutritional disorders at the joint Duke- NUS (National University of Singapore) institution.  So he must know something about Singapore food...   He is very highly rated,  he wrote a book "Why we get sick"  that is sort of a bestseller.

I assume that he had a choice of following a PhD or an MD,  and he chose to be a scientist instead of a prescriber of pills. NOTE:  it is a mistake to give more credibility to a medical doctor than to a medical PhD!   ( of course,  I am a PhD too, but not in medicine,  ha ha )

Trash it!!!!  You are literally sitting on a lazy susan chair.  Bad for your backbones.  You are better off standing while working on your computer.  It promotes healthy blood flow and prevent blood clotting.

If you ever have a chance to put your ass on a Herman Miller chair, you will be delighted by the comfort it offers. This is a chair used in decent offices with decent furniture.   My lazy susan is a round holder that can rotate when put on a table.

@Steve5380, What do you like most about yourself?

It is not so much likeness as satisfaction.  I am relatively satisfied with myself.  I would not like to be someone else  :)

which is good because I can only be myself.

I found a good video about nutrition,  one of the many...

This one was made jointly by David Perlmutter and Steven Gundry,  about a book of the latter " Unlocking the Keto code ".

Many of today's health "gurus"  are PhDs in health related sciences,  and some skeptics argue that only medical doctors know about medicine...   Well,  these two "gurus" ARE medical doctors, and quite prestigious ones.

They both agree that it is not necessary to rigorously follow a keto diet with nearly zero carbohydrates to have ketones, but a moderate amount of complex carbohydrates is beneficial, with good greens and some fruits.   Ketosis is also produced by ingesting MCT oil.  Ketones have the ability to "unlock mitochondria" for a bunch of benefits.

I have absolutely no desire to be God,  neither for a day nor forever!   I would rather have a time period (more than a day) when I could change the Gods that exist today in society.   I would replace all these Gods with huge interrogation signs, meaning that we don't have the ability to know about any supernatural and it's gods or whatever.

I am asked "if I were God for one day",  and now you say that I am a speck of dust unnoticeable from earth?  Make up your mind!

And even if I am a speck of dust,  I am NOT unnoticeable from earth.  All my neighbors notice me.  Maybe I am not noticeable from Singapore,  but that may be your loss.  :)

Elsewhere in the forum I commented that in the past, the cardiac surgeon turned health guru Steven Gundry gave me the impression of being a quack, a charlatan.  But I changed my mind and I recognize that his advice, which he shares with many colleges of equally good credentials, can be trusted.    I also have fun watching his videos, like the following one.

Let's watch it,  gays of all ages, because what he says has a high probability of being true.  And we DON'T want to age! :)

I don't live in an HDB flat but in a family house on a decent lot.  No neighbor hears me when I play on my large loud grand piano, or when I practice singing, or when I play my stereo.  And then I make much more noise than I would watching porn, which I do very seldom.   And, thank God, I never hear my neighbors either.  But we occasionally see each other.

I found a video on YouTube that I particularly liked:  a host interviewing a famous person:

The host is Sean Kim,  THE FIRST host / interviewer I found who is A CUTE YOUNG ASIAN!!   I find him so CUTE that if I were 50 years younger I would make him my boyfriend.

The interviewed one is the famous astrophysicist in the photo who thinks so highly about himself.  and who speaks quite intelligently in the video.  I haven't finished it yet, I haven't seen Elon Musk,  but I am more interested in the CUTE ASIAN.

Of course.  You must have been born in a family which is very religious and without sin,  and you must be the same.  Then you all will reunite in Heaven.

They would be completely right to do so.  Most of my piano playing are exercises.  I would not last long in a HDB flat in Singapore, they would throw me out fast.  But then,  my grand piano would not fit into a HDB flat, ha ha.

Here is another IMPRESSIVE YouTube video:

Impressive in my opinion because:

1. The host is the same CUTE ASIAN who hosted in the previous video I posted.

2. He now interviews Dr. Steven Gundry.  He is exceptional, a talking encyclopedia,  whose opinion can be trusted.  He starts describing his habit of many years of restricting his eating to 2 hours a day, with 22 hours fasting, during half a year.   I am in the middle of the same thing, 3 out of the 5 days he recommends to do periodically.  After the 3d day I don't feel any hunger, appetite, inclination to snack,  and I feel like I will live until 150

The CUTE ASIAN interviewer seems to know about the subject, making intelligent questions.  Worth watching!

Japanese water from the Fukushima disaster was dumped in the shared ocean in the billion-ton range. All food, including fish and farm produce, is no longer edible. The best option today is to avoid all food. Keto diets might not be healthy as a result of environment toxicidity . Food chains as a whole became poisonous. I'm going on a hunger strike to denounce Japan's cruel and self-centered behavior.

Do this while standing in the sun.  Like plants, you may be able to be fed by photosynthesis plus some water you drink and the CO2 in the atmosphere.

While you do this,  I will keep eating my lentils with vegetables, and eating some cottage cheese, greek yogurt, salmon fish, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, avocados, sweet potatoes, walnuts, roasted peanuts, watermelon, dark chocolate and...  chocolate ice cream.  Bon Appetit.  :)    ( Houston is too far away from Japan)

IF YOU WATCH OR NOT THE FOLLOWING VIDEO IS PURELY YOUR CHOICE AND NO ONE ELSE'S!   BE SMART.

The speaker is a true expert, a true authority in the subject.

Our body heals itself, if we allow it to do so by giving it the right nutrition.  So simple!  And a deep implication, if you have ever felt the need for your body to be healed!

Now we can realize that in addition to the help of modern medicine, and hopefully  INSTEAD OF,  we can expect our body to be healed from the common illnesses it could develop.  This video is 4 years old, so it is not "the latest" anymore, but it does not need to be. Since the start of this century the discoveries in medical science have been spectacular, and much of traditional medicine has been improved, overcome and resolved to our great benefit.  We can fix our health problems or even prevent them by ourselves without costly drugs and treatments.

Taking advantage of these solutions TODAY and keeping an attentive eye for the advances that keep coming, most of us can reach 80 years of age in perfect health,  and so avoid all the painful illnesses and physical degradations that scare the hell our of our young and middle-aged gays.  :)

Clean air, clean water, good weather, non-contaminated food, spiritual peace.   But this latest luxury does not require much money.

This Saturday morning I just came back from the gym, and I am now planning my first meal. While drinking my coffee, I listen to this video:

WHAT???  ANOTHER BORING CLASSICAL MUSIC VIDEO?  Why Steve doesn't post it in a thread about music ???

YOU brought up the issue of modern luxury.  And yes, it can be a luxury for a modern gay to be surrounded by PEACE.  And it is pure PEACE to listen to this incredible beautiful violin Concerto of Beethoven, played by this first-class violinist of the 20th century Arthur Grumiaux.  One of the best interpretations,  and I am ready to place this Concerto together with Beethoven's 9th Symphony at the top of the Music Pyramid.   Enjoy! :)

I am one of the gays who had to deal with a bad mouth all his life,  not because of using foul language, but because of having a bad denture with many cavities and had to have fillings, crowns, root-canal procedures, etc.

If you are also a gay who needs to spend much money at a dentist, the following video is for you:

Eight years ago my bf and I  we were introduced to OIL PULLING by the assistant of my dentist, who felt sorry for my bf who had got a cavity that was too inaccessible and would require a molar to be pulled out.

Eight years ago we started to do this "oil pulling",  and my bf saved his tooth because his cavity... healed !!!

Eight years ago was the last time my dentist did any drilling on my teeth.  Since then I have had ZERO cavities, and all my visits to his office are for cleaning.  So I am convinced that this ancient Ayurvedic procedure is no bullshit, but it works!  And contrary to the strong mouthwashes mentioned in the video that kill ALL bacteria in the mouth, the oil pulling only removes the bad ones.  The other good ones are important for our health, our digestion.

About a decade ago my dentist told me that the reason I got cavities could be because of having a DRY MOUTH, which I indeed got during the sleep at night.  So some years later I started to put for every night a narrow strip of 2 inch wide 3M "Micropore" surgical tape over my lips, so that I sleep with my mouth taped shut and I breathe exclusively through my nose.   Not only nose breathing is healthy, but it prevent getting a dry mouth from breathing through it.

My teeth are very happy with these procedures, and so am I  :)

Away from the conflicts and wars in this world, this insignificant older gay after his good lunch has again pleased his spirit with peaceful music.  Peaceful but emotional  ( I have a strong stomach ).  This music stimulated my German genes, ha ha.  SCHUBERT LIEDER!  Sung by a first class tenor Julian Pregardien with clear and nice tone,  accompanied by concert pianist Martin Helmchen playing on a very German grand Steingraeber and Sohne of beautiful tone, a nice change from so many Steinway piano sounds.

In some flight of my imagination I see myself in an elegant Salon of the 19th century full of nobleman, and Schubert behind a much smaller piano playing his lieder with some famous singer.  No YouTube then, no 33rpm, 78rpm, radio, nothing recorded to feed the musical senses of those people,  who are then captivated by the music of Schubert.  A nice experience, but I prefer a thousand times my experience today.  I realize now that I have never been so happy in my life, that older age can be a blessing!   Hopefully one day you will have the same experience.

No, you are not rude,  you give your opinions.  But you must not have heard much of the Schubert Lieder I posted.  The first one is "agitato", but the others are not.

There is a saying in Spanish:  "sobre gustos no hay nada escrito"  ( about tastes there is nothing written ).  If you still find my favorable music "loud & screamy"... don't you have a button to turn down the volume?

And good music is not relaxing but stimulating.  I don't want to be rude, but your "stress relief music"  I found dumb and boring.  Zzzzz...   It would not withstand the passage of 200 years, like Schubert's music has done.  And Guest Guest was so kind to provide a "visual response" to this music, which I kind of share too:  😁

Ha ha!  Thank you for caring about my aging.  But I'm getting ready to post about REAL old age, like 90,  and how at this age people don't need to be past their stimulating years.  Older people don't need to Zzzzz much more than younger ones.
