Private Pursuits Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Hello there Blowingwind members! Thank you for all your emails and queries. We'll be responding to them individually as soon as we can but we thought we'll answer a few here so as not to keep you waiting. If you've hearing about us for the first time, Private Pursuits is Singapore's first confidential dating service for members of the LGBT community who prefer to keep their love lives a personal affair. Do visit http://www.privatepursuits.com.sg for more! 1. What if my Mutual Match is my ex and I don't want to meet him? - You have absolute freedom to decide who to meet - We will handle the delicate situation with care and schedule new matches for the both of you - As a preemptive approach, you may let us know beforehand the people you don't wish to meet with and we'll permanently exclude them from our recommendations to you 2. Why are there different Membership options and why are they priced differently? - The Elite and Gold Memberships are very similar options, but many members choose the Gold option because they enjoy the dinner dates and having more complimentary Mutual Matches to explore around - The Campus Membership is really our way of helping students and NSFs benefit from our services while keeping within their budgets - The Luminary Society was formed by request of some of our long-standing members who wanted to date people with similar spending powers - We often offer our services at discounted rates to help as many people as we can, but we also have to keep enough to make rent, run servers and pay our staff - Talk to us to work out an arrangement that works just for you 3. Must I only dine at those restaurants you listed? - Absolutely not! If you have a preferred venue in mind that is more romantic or private, we're most happy to receive your recommendations - The restaurants listed are the ones we have corporate arrangements with, and were selected because of the lush ambience and romantic experience they provide 4. Where is your office? - Our main office is located in the West and the address is provided to members only - But if you'd like a FOC private consultation, we'll be happy to receive you as well. Just drop us a note! If you've any other questions, please feel free to reply to this thread! Alternatively, you could visit http://www.privatepursuits.com.sg for more information. Thank you all for your support and, more importantly, thank you for your friendships! Private Pursuits Teamhttp://www.privatepursuits.com.sgCourtships Made Confidential
photobuff Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 This is certainly not the 1st such service, years ago, there was a former radio dj Simon Lim who offered a similar service, then there was also After8Concepts who offered gay matching service.
Private Pursuits Posted January 14, 2014 Author Posted January 14, 2014 Hey there photobuff, Thanks for letting us know about Simon and After8Concepts - we'll try to reach them and explore collaborative opportunities. I think the main unique value proposition for Private Pursuits is that we pay extra focus to protecting our members' privacy, on top of finding them suitable matches. Thanks again for your feedback. Let's hope we can improve our services to bring even greater benefits to you and the community! Private Pursuitshttp://www.privatepursuits.com.sg
photobuff Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 I'm quite sure ALL matching services, gay or straight, whether it's by your company or others before you, would all focus on privacy, otherwise we might as well just go on grindr/scruffd/jack'd/fridae to meet people, so i'm not really sure that it's anything unique in any sense. Anyway, i think it's good that we have such services, it makes the community more interesting.
Private Pursuits Posted January 14, 2014 Author Posted January 14, 2014 Thanks for your support photobuff!
singach1 Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 I emailed you last week but I think you might have too many queries to handle before getting to my email. My concern is how big is the pool of members you have since you have a history of just about a year and I never heard of your service before other than here.
Slynn Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 (edited) 1. This is gonna be tough on you guys. D: Joke aside, I think it's cool in a way. Sorta wonder how it's like to be facilitating this service and matching people Edited January 18, 2014 by Slynn "To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all"

Private Pursuits Posted January 19, 2014 Author Posted January 19, 2014 Hey there singach1, Slynn and briantan48, Thanks for contacting us and sorry for the late reply. We're in the process of merging our services with another dating service provider so it looks like we will not be able to receive new members in the meantime. We'll definitely keep you posted when we're back in business. singach1, I've just looked through our inbox and I'm sorry but I don't think we managed to receive your email. Slynn, you'll always have the final say on whether to proceed with a meet-up. brian48, following the merger our member pool will enlarge manifold but we're not at liberty to disclose any figures until the merger is complete. It's certainly a dramatic improvement from our status quo, which is why we agreed to the merger in the first place. Thanks guys, stay tuned! Private Pursuits Team
happymonster Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 A few pointers:1) your website isn't available (at least not through my mobile)2) what market are you targeting? Considerig there is membership fee, I would say most of the users will be on the older generations who earn decent amount of money3) as much as I think I support this platform of service, how will this differentiate from other social mobile apps (jackd, grindr, planetromeo, trevvy, etc)? You will need to point out to us and let us decide if it's wort the spending
Guest What a Laugh Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 And now they know who you are and what you are into. Will it be that private anymore? Given our community love for exchanging news, a membership may spell instant date death. After all, even with many straight people, going on arranged dates is really a last and final desperate resort. The service is commendable for helping 'shy' people.
singach1 Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Is your collaboration with another website completed?
