If I may point out, Our taxi drivers should reflect too! How many drivers offered help when you travel with luggage or when you have many shopping bags or bulky items? My experience? Only 1 out of 10! These cabbies have themselves to blame, when the fares went up, no passengers, they complained. Now the economy is doing well, they become choosy and start to nick pick. (eg. No small change, moaned when passengers change destination due to change of plans, etc) Did I last hear they demanded to be paid a surcharge when picking up from Marina Bay Sands? Honestly, when such things happen, I have the least sympathy for them.
