Rarely, if the bottom was into it, and it wasn't tiring me (but not my prefered position) then I'd make sure they cum first during the pumping, then let them orally finish me off.

Its like driving a car. The first few time you remember the details. But once you get used to it... Its muscle memory. 

You can have all the practice you can have but at the end of the day, practical is more realistic. 

If you go for those virgin or those newly bottom, they will not know what to do.

Only those seasoned bottom, with lots of practical training will know what to do when they see anxious new tops. 

My regular bottoms will know what to do, from start to finish. They will clean themselves prior to meeting up with me and they after foreplay, they will know how to react when I take out the lube. When I am tired, we will rest for awhile and they will help me remove my condom and clean my dick with tissue and will blow me until I am hard again and then help put on condom and let me enter them for 2nd round. 

So the chemistry with the top and bottom is important.

But all these are through a few times and after getting use to each other.
