I also heard the majority visitors from one population bigger country in East Asia not taking much initiative and just stand around in the gay sauna chatting.

Just got back from Bangkok yesterday. Like last year, I thought I'd give a recap for those interested.

 

I stayed at the Quarter again, and this year, it felt different - the excitement of a shiny gay hotel had worn off. A majority of the gays guests were from a certain nationality/region. Check in wasn't ready at check in time. The room I received looked worn and tired. The breakfast offerings weren't as good as before, which resonated with the number of guests dining in. The gym has been "cleaned up", as last year it was full of "boys" sitting and standing around for their next out call. The steamroom and sauna was in working condition, with a large "NO SEX" poster above a urinal as you peek through the steamroom door. I'll probably try somewhere else next time. 

 

I went to Maxwell on my first night, a Friday night. It was very busy, the steamroom was akin to a body-to-body MRT coach during peak hour - at times the door couldn't close from the overflow. There was a moment where silence followed by whispering flooded the basement, as two dark, handsome Arab men walked down the stairs in their full sized towels - had they come to the wrong place? No, they had not - this was nowhere near their norm or comfort zone as their culture would allow. They eventually ventured into the steam room, timid at first, but enjoying the action without rejection of the curious touches and advances. I had a great time, ejaculating no less than 3 times. The crowd was 20s to 40s, east Asian-looking men, and the chicken karaage was as delicious as the men. 

 

My second day took me across the street for a two hour oil massage at the Prime - they take credit card payments with a 3% surcharge - I recall it being more outrageous than this - but I figured that's a fair price for the convenience of card payment in this economy. It was uneventful but much needed to undo all my knots. 

 

 My next night of lustful sin brought me to Sauna Mania. It was just as I remembered it from my last visit no less than 7 years prior. Maybe newer towels and newer gym equipment. It was a busy night, similar to that of Maxwell but in a raw and raunchier setting - I preferred this setting as it was in a "dry" situation. The room smelt of sex and desire. When I got bored or felt like a physique boost, the gym was a nice break out zone, as I watched the trade walk by, and vice-versa. Like many have posted, there are alot of east Asian visitors, with many willing to break away from their gaggle of friends for a good time. They do have themed nights, and their foam party is on a Sunday night for 500THB. i

After the foam party is finished, the price drops down to their normal entry fee of 380THB.

 

On my last full day and night, I did not make it to r3 as I had plotted after a big day of shopping at Chatuchak and Platinum as well as being a few thousand baht poorer, so I took it easy and kicked back - only to be awaken in the middle of the night from my neighbours fucking. Whilst it may sound hot, it was not when you're trying to get rest. 

 

All in all, whilst it was a short trip, I got my needs met on all fronts - the food, the shopping, and the sex.

Heritage Hotel is the hotel opposite Le Meridien Patpong right? It is quite easy to find breakfast, can either go the market behind or some street food along the silom alley. But the market behind is the best... : )

Just went to Yunomori Sathorn.  It is very close to the Mahanakhon center.  Entrance fee is 650 THB.  It is fairly expensive for Bangkok where you can get a two hour massage at Prime for 900 THB.  No wonder so many Mercedes in their garage 😂. The facility is clean and reminds me of those I went to in Tokyo, which probably costs a bit less with the exchange rate.

 

There are hot and cold tubs with a silky tub and micro carbonate tub in a separated outdoor(ish) area.  One is even filled with mineral water from some mountain, kind of like Therma no Yu in Shinjuku. 

 

I went on a Thursday afternoon and stayed from 3ish to about 5.  There were may be 20ish guys with half white and Asian Indians, and the other half East Asians including Thais.  All age range.  I think more than half were naked but some were wearing black shorts which I suspected were provided to them for massage?  I didn’t get one or offered one at anytime when I was there.  I saw two cute guys playing a little bit in the steam room but they get interrupted all the time and had to take cold showers 😂  You can get a yukata and hang out in the back building.

 

I can see myself spending a couple of hours here on a rainy afternoon instead of Prime😂

 

btw, they did ask for name and phone number at check in which I just faked it.  I think Therma no Yu in shinjuku did the same.

After Yunomori I took a nap and by the time I woke up it was almost 9.  I decided to get some food and see a boy show (not planning to take boy back tonight).  I read about a new bar called Atlas that resembles the old Tawan with muscle men and naked show.  Off I went.  

 

The show started just a bit after 10:30 pm with entrance fee at 500 (including 1 drink).  The show was a mix of naked body builders on stage with their sausages wrapped in condom and girly lip singing.  Some of them have nice bodies but many of their faces were pretty rough up.  I am a face guy!!!  So, whether I had the intent to bring boy home tonight it won’t have been from this place!!!  The one thing I didn’t like about this place was that during the show some guy would bring along a bucket and literally bang it on your table for tip.  Most customers didn’t pay.  A little over halfway I got bored and left.  I tipped the waiter 100 because he sat with me a bit and was funny.

The previous PM (the one from the military) implemented plenty of restrictions for the entertainment business in Bangkok, disallowing a lot of the previous sleazy fun things in these bars/ places. 

 

While I endured the straight side of shows as also the "gay" ones, in the end the goal was just to squeeze more money out of you, because the guys had numbers and you were able to select one to sit at your table who then ordered expensive drinks or expected hefty tips to just sit at your table. But I think for a huge fee you were able to take one of the guys to your hotel. I never tested it because their make up was more than that of a certain Hollywood actor... 

 

The fucking shows made me feel being in a zoo watching some animals doing circus,... Wouldn't have tried the positions...

 

The only thing thrilling were actually these "virgin" girl visitors who screamed at every inch of a larger dick probably making their bf or husband who joined them feel shy for the next 3 months...

Actually bar fine to take boy back is only 500b but things do add up.  Your own ticket / drink 500 plus boy drink while sitting with you 500b plus the bar fine, total will be 1,500b (if only one drink each and talk with one boy) and not tipping waiter or other boys.  Then you have to tip boy for the fun in hotel, 1,500/2,000b and up for short time.  So we are talking 3,500thb to start.
