sound quite scary .... dark festival

Seem liked mix crowd and the dress code will be leather, or theme can be gothic. Interesting can consider if not clashing with Taipei Pride.

Hi all, it’s my first time heading to Bangkok alone. Any tips or suggestions to note? I have been to other parts of Thailand with my family, but not alone before.

I have read about some scams from this thread in terms of transport and some other matters. So hoping to get some heads up and advice before going there, thank you in advance.

Stay - Silom area, lots of hostels and under $50 options, plenty of street food and 3 malls, huge park with evening runners and monitor lizards, sleazy clubs and bars, many buses ply between silom and siam, pratunam and beyond

Transportation - Stick to airport train (suvarnabhumi only), mrt, bus and bts, bikes (orange vest uncles) are a good way to travel along longer sois, grab bike is fine, stay away from tuktuks, during am/pm rush hours and rain avoid using taxi/grab ie just rely on bts or mrt, google map is about 90% accurate with the suggestions

Food - Stay away from restaurants or cafes that you often see featured on social media, rabbit card for bts travel can also be used at food courts, also get 10% off at mcd, must try kfc wing zabb drumlets

Day trips - Train to Ayuthaya or Mahachai (where the ah ma movie was filmed) from just thb10, trains depart from either Hua Lamphong or Krung Thep Apiwat Central Station at Bang Sue

Money - Money changers everywhere so can just bring sgd if you don't want to change too much thb in sg, cards also widely accepted except street food vendors and some tea shops and cafes, need max thb45 cash to get on the airport train

This is solid advice.

Do remember Bangkok has the Skytrain (more expensive, I find) and the Metro.  They use different tickets, so if you are using these two systems of transport, you will need to buy two different cards - or just queue up for the tickets and pay with cash.

If you are flying into Don Muang Airport, take the A1 bus to BTS Mo Chit Station / MRT Chatuchak Park Station (these two stations are nearby to each other) then use public transport into the city.  The fare for the A1 bus is THB30.  I prefer travelling this way because traffic in the city can be very heavy, especially when it rains.

I hope this helps.

Actually from Don Muang airport, the more convenient way to the city is to take the Red Line, flat fare only 20bahts to Bang Sue Station and change to the Blue Line directly to popular areas like Sukhumvit or Silom.

It is a pretty long walk from the airport to the Red Line.

But if your destination is along those routes, it is a viable option to consider.

  • 2 weeks later...

Thought I'd give an update on my massage experience in Bangkok after my trip. I booked 60m massage at M'Sense for ~1700 THB and 120m massage at S'sense for 1690 THB. S'sense had better value and massage, and of the 2 I would def go back there. I booked both on Line like ~1 week beforehand (I'm from USA fwiw).

M'sense has a fancy entrance, and I chose Man as my therapist. Cute face, lean bod, thick dick lol. The one I originally selected had an "accident" day of so I had to switch, which was weird. I showered in the room and the AC was set to 22C so it was pretty cold. Massage face down was standard, a little sensual. When I got on my back he yanked the sheet aside and started playing with my dick. He put my hands on him, and I could feel that he was hard. He took off his clothes and he had some cute red underwear on with a big bulge, so I pulled it down and started jerking him off. He got on top of me and grinded on me til I came. He was really sweet after - no pressure to tip but I gave him a nice one. My partner's masseur begged for tip afterward which feels icky.

S'sense entrance was crowded with massuers, and they walked us to another location for actual massage. I chose Singha (prob the most famous one there?). Cute face, bodybuilder type, huuuge dick. Similar to M'sense I showered in the room, but the room was not cold. After a few min working on my back, he asked if I wanted body-to-body for 500 extra baht (my partner's masseur asked for 900 so YMMV). Of course I said yes, so later he stripped naked, took a shower, and started grinding on me from behind. He grabbed my chest, I started moaning and he got hard and started f*cking between my thighs. Boy when I tell you he did almost everything but f*ck me.. he ate my ass, blew my dick, sucked my balls. It was hot AF 🥵. I asked if he had a condom but he said he wasn't allowed (doesn't hurt to ask right lol). He had such a huge dick I had to suck it, and after a few min of that I came. I've had some pretty hot massages in my life and this was def up there. After all that he still gave a proper massage until the 2h was up. I gave him a good tip and he hugged me, which was cute.

We went to Koh Samui after, and I did try Emerald Green Mens Club there if anyone is curious. It's owned by an old, weird white guy from NZ who talked our ear off about what to expect, including pointing to a "No happy ending" rule in the menu 🙄 lol. The masseurs were ok looking, not hot like BKK. Very sensual massage with lots of sliding hands which I like. When I flipped over he sucked my dick and nips, and I played with his cute ass and small dick until I came. At the end when I was sitting up and he was behind me, he kept kissing my neck, grabbing my chest and jerking me off again. I did get hard but couldn't cum again so told him to stop. The facilities were kind of ghetto so I don't think I would go back there.

Overall good trip and I would def go back to S'sense the next time I'm in Bangkok. Their website has a lot of hot looking masseurs, but I would prob just book Singha again lol

I heard Bangkok has two Yunomori : Sukhumvit and Sathorn 10. Any difference for these two outlets?

Please be guided.

Sathorn is smaller.

sukhumvit is bigger with quite a lot of foreigners

depends on where your hotel is located. For me, may be I will just walk out to massage shop instead. But weekend you know it is not easy to get some walk in slot, unless you do booking in advance.

or you can check into some sauna that open until late. Relax and unwind yourself there. or easiest, can go clubbing also, but I think this is not everybody interest.

Gogo bars is also not a bad idea, but it has been donkey years I have never step into it. Tell us which gogo bars is nice nowadays.

Has anybody tried PERCEPTION BLIND MASSAGE Bangkok? Suddenly thinking of blind massage which I enjoy it in KL

Let me know if you do try it! I’m thinking of going as well, heard good reviews!

Amazing thread. I’ll be in Bangkok in October and wondering what saunas I’ll have the best luck at. I’m a 32 yer old average body white American and have seen reviews of many saunas where the poster felt the spa guests were not interested in Americans. Not sure how true that all is, so curious to hear your thoughts!

thanks in advance!

You could try Krubb

Rest of the places are mainly Asians only, so yes it is true

Also maybe try not to reveal your nationality (or shout about it) cos you guys don't have the best reputation and being loud about it really puts people off even more

Mania 95% Asians - 70% China Chinese

Maxwell 90% Asians from everywhere

true, Asians will be by far the majority regardless of venues in Bangkok

i am surprised you put mainland Chinese at 70% for Mania, haha
I felt there were relatively more Thais at Mania compared to R3

Nice to have a mix of Thai and Chinese sausages

Remember Babylon?

From the archives it seemed farangs were the majority then

Times have changed - More Thais are visiting these places + there are way more Asian tourists now

Few occasions at Maxwell I have seen the odd Caucasian, they seem bored except for the obviously hot ones (could be mixed or resident) getting tickled
