Guesy, nothing to do with less open-minded, un-gracious or intolerance. Just a personal preference as to what I expect to see, to be seen by, touch, to be touched by in such an environment. Everyone is free to use such facilities as long as the management allows. Others are free to decide if they want to join the party. I have no issue going to gay bars where there are other sexes around but I do feel uncomfortable to be seen naked by other sexes.

Went to Shogun yesterday. There were very few people after 5 pm. Maybe the news did not spread fast enough. But I rate Shogun a much better place than other sauna I visited in Singapore. The operator set the temperature comfortable for for a day when everyone is naked in the place. But I am not sure it would be warm if there are more people. Would prefer they remove those plasitc curtain in the dark room and resting areas. They are hazards and also make the place too dark to see clearly.

Improvement is in the works for Shogun and that is jolly good. I went there last night after an absence of few weeks and realised much to my delight that 1. I kind of miss the place and 2. efforts have been made to spruce up the place.

For a start, the whole environment seems much cosier and cleaner than before. No rancid smell which permeates other less well-kept saunas. No soiled tissues and stench in the toilet. No sticky floor. All these problems which used to plague Shogun in the past is now gone.

The opening up of the 'art' room is a nice touch. It's like venturing into your favourite room- lots of soft furnishing that makes you want to lounge and linger there longer. Only gripe is that the techno music pumping out from the speakers is kind of irritating and kills any remnant of romantic mood which the setup of this room provides.

It's also encouraging to see the management screening some up-to-date movies on their lcd on the second floor. While I have my eyes on the screen last night, a lot of 'live actions' also happening at the back of the room. Again, the mattresses are clean (yes, I am a sucker for cleanliness ).

They have done something to the upper floor. By installing some wooden panels along the 'red' room which used to be one big under-utilised area, they have make good use of the space to create a more conducive and 'mysterious' maze-like ambience for cruising. Best of all, I was told that works have begun to build four new rooms at the other end on this floor (the one near the 'steam' room) and more private rooms are in the plan.

It's a positive affirmation to know Shogun is trying to improve its facilities. People like me who visit the saunas regularly want to feel at home when they are at such places and Shogun has certainly make me feel so last night. The crowds were average last night in terms of quantity but quality-wise, it's good to see a better-than-average turnout than at other saunas. I will be back again soon.

First, you condemn Shogun for being "pathetic" for its lack of crowd. Then you continue with additional personal insult and attack toward the boss Vincent by calling him "cheapo", "attitude problem" and "insane". Next you say that his room is "dirty".

From reading your above post, it seems that you know Vincent and have BEEN to his room before, otherwise, how would you know his room is "Dirty"? It is obvious that something must have happened between you and Vincent and you are taking the "story" (not sure if it is real) of your HK friend to air your displeasure and at the same time make personal attack at Vincent.
