The Death Of You And Me - Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds

Hot on the heels of his/their debut single,

come's Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds's second single, AKA... What A Life!,

this song also made its debut premiere on a Vauxhall Football commercial TV Ad.

I love Brit TV Ad jingles too! :)

A new #1 in the UK Mid-Week Singles Chart once again...

No Regrets - Dappy

Dappy is the lead singer of the Camden-based Grime/hip hop/R&B trio N-Dubz,

he's also known for his trademark eye-catching headwear, the "Dappy hats".

This is his first solo single.

and it has nothing or whatsoever to do with Robbie Williams' song of the same name.

Goldie Cheung's rendition of Feelin' Good,

reminded me that Muse covered the same song too...

Muse's version was used by Nescafé for their TV ad and later by Virgin Atlantic Airways too.

This version was also voted in September 2010 by NME readers as the greatest cover song of all time,

beating The Beatles' version of Twist and Shout.

It's mid-week and it's another #1 again in the UK Singles Chart!

This time, I call this Eurotrash,

"Loca People" also known as "Loca People (La Gente Está Muy Loca)" or "Loca People (What the fxxk)",

by Spanish disc jockey + producer Sak Noel, with vocal performed by Esthera Sarita.

With a youtube viewership of 29million and counting, njoi!

(The music video was filmed by Roger Martin Solé and was directed by Sak Noel. It was filmed at various locations in Spain,

most notably in the night club venue Millenium and Cosmic Club, and features in the video Desirée Brihuega and Noel himself.

Besides the club scene, there are also outdoor scenes where the general public takes part in the video.)

First up, the current UK #1 single,

a finalist in last year's UK X-Factor, njoi!

Hate it or love it, have your say here!

have that song on my mp3! must say it has grown on me...though i know everyone else hates it to the core HAHA!

biggrin.gif

It grew on me too, I just hope she's not a one-week nor one-hit wonder,

I wonder if she will release Stay by The Shakespeare's Sister as a single or a B-side,

best if she could include that in her debut album too! Anticipating, eagerly!

YAH! i quite like the infectious beat in that song...and speaking of X factor I liked her remake of "love the way you lie". There was smth about her voice that was strangely...raw and attractive.

I knew nothing about this Cher Lloyd girl ( I don't follow the x factor much) but Stay happens to be one of my favourite songs and man, that was an amazing rendition! That girl has some chops.

Here's Cher Lloyd's follow-up to her debut #1,

let's see how this fare and if she's a one-hit wonder after all!

With Ur Love - Cher Lloyd

lols... janet devlin made it into the final 16.. shes the one to beat!

She made it!

She's one of the 4 girls to be mentored by Kelly Rowland in the Girls Under 25 Category!

Janet Devlin, 16

Misha Bryan, 19

Sophie Habibis, 19

Amelia Lily, 16

I was rooting for

actually,

such a shame that she did not get into the live shows,

let's hope she'll make a comeback next year...

Following the last episode on Sunday,

Goldie has officially quit the competition!!!

Replacing Goldie as one of the 4 in "The Overs" Category (over 25yo that is),

and to be mentored by Louis Walsh is Sami Brookes...

Samantha Brookes, 31

...and these are the rest of "The Overs"...

Kitty Brucknell, 26

Jonjo Kerr, 27

Johnny Robinson, 45

Can any of them make it to the finals eventually?

Here's Frankie "tattooed bum" Cocozza's rendition..

2011 UK X-Factor's back (last night)!

Check out the first auditionee & his bum,

OMG!

Maroon 5 & Christina Aguilera have climbed to the top of the UK mid-week Singles Chart,

i.e. after spending 8 weeks in the charts and having locked at #2 for the past 4 weeks!!!

With no strong competition this week,

there's a strong chance that it will still be there by Sunday!

Looks like Marina and the Diamonds is gonna score her 2nd UK Top 20 this weekend!

Barely scraping in at #20 at mid-week in the UK Singles Chart with Radioactive...

Her other Top 20 hit, Hollywood is her biggest one to-date,

reaching #12 in February last year...

I was quite disappointed with Cher Lloyd's singles, they're pretty much candy floss.

I'd love to hear her stripped- get rid of the dirty beats, the vocal wizardry...and just belt out a nice ballad or two. Like how she did with stay and everytime on X factor.

It's never meant to be, no #1 for Maroon 5 & Christina Aguilera this week after all!

Despite only having been released for four days,

Rihanna's We Found Love Feat. Calvin Harris debuted at #1 with 87,000 copies sold on the UK Singles Chart!

It's commiseration to Adam Levine,

and here's a tribute to the man with the song covered by Marcus Collins,

a finalist of the UK X Factor who performed this tune just over the weekend...

2 Shoes, 23 and 21

They are OUT too!

First live show took place last weekend,

and the twist this year is that each judge was to vote off one act from their own respective teams!!!

With 4 acts gone in one night,

we are left with the Top 12 competing for this year's UK X Factor!

Do you have a favourite yet?

With his timely performance on the UK X Factor last Sunday,

and the release of his first "proper" single this week,

will this storm to #1 in the UK Singles Chart this weekend?

Here's Matt Cardle with Run For Your Life, written by Gary Barlow of Take That fame...

Love it or trash it?

We all know this song, since the second album 21 was released at the beginning of the year.

The music video accompanying this track was only released at the tail-end of last month,

so here it is, Adele and Someone Like You...

Here's the heart-wrenching live performance of the song in this year's Brit Awards...

I prefer the live performance one better. :)

Something nonsensical and light-hearted for a change,

here's the talented English Comedian, Peter Kay...

The Winners Song - Geraldine McQueen

This man can do no wrong and I love him as Geraldine to bits!!!
