There have been messages on WhatsApp warning about scams such as these.

But then...  I've checked it's the official 89hotel WhatsApp number. And that person send me a screenshot of my booking where they have printed out.. Hope they won't cancel my booking, as I'm not going to transfer them any money. 

 

Update: told my Indonesian friend.. She say is common in Indonesia for some places to collect money in advance even when I've indicate my credit card during booking.. Sigh.

Well 89 hotel was disappointing. The afternoon I went, the sauna was really quiet. Stayed for an hour in the jacuzzi and nobody came. Upon leaving, there was just one grand daddy showering after gym. I left to hook up with guys from Grindr in my room instead.  
 

the sauna was close the day I was supposed to check out. So that sucks!

 

better off hook up with guys from apps than wasting time for guys to come to sauna. Everyone was so discreet

The therapist is polite and not bad, but he is just not my type. Ask me to change to a short, and the short is not very loose type. tried them yesterday; was apprehensive because their google photos don't do much justice nor provide assurance, so I did an outcall for 1h massage + masseur transport + extra 💦. price all in was Rp530.000. Dino was good with his massage and it was a satisfying session. didn't speak much English though so was mostly using Google translate. overall a great session.
