In my last visit to Krubb, I found the patrons respectful of each other.

 

I do not think you and your friend would be forcefully held and/or molested against your will. 

 

However, do remember it is a gay sauna, and patrons will touch each other to see if the other party is interested.  If you are not interested, you can just move away, or gently brush off the hand.

Yes, the last time I visited Zen Onsen, the person at the reception looked like, and was dress as, a lady.  Whether she was born a lady or not, I cannot tell. 

However, in the rest of the Onsen areas, there were no female staff, nor were there female guests.

I feel that Zen Onsen is classier, but its focus is not entirely on men playing with men.  Location wise, it is practically at the foot of the stairs from the BTS/MRT (I can't remember which) station.

 

Krubb is a men's sauna, not an onsen, and it is raunchier than Zen.  It takes a bit of walking to get there, and for a first timer, you will need Google Map or equivalent to lead you there. 

 

I hope this helps you prioritise your needs and narrow down your choices.

My suggestion will be to stay around Siam station as the 2 major bangkok MRT interchanges there, Silom line and Sukhumvit line. There are MBK, Siam Paragon and other malls along that stretch too, so you can either walk, or take the train by 1 station to mall hop. 

There are also plenty of affordable massage shops nearby. My suggestion will be to stay at Pathuwam Princess Hotel, the hotel located inside MBK itself. You can just grab back to your hotel easily, or tell the tuktuk drivers you wanna head to MBK.

Actually I would love to hear their experiences in BKK because it helps me prep for my upcoming trip so that I know where to go when I am travelling most of the time solo in BKK. 
 

I think the group is meant for people to share their BKK experiences which is very helpful for people like me.

 

if you are looking for review I think the owner has another group for it which are exclusively only for review. I am also pretty sure people are old enough to decide for themselves if they want to join the meet up in April. Rather than what you said “forcing” why not think of it as an open invitation?

Yes, recent chats have been totally dominated by a few admins, and is almost totally about paid sex in BKK.

I share the same sentiments, and probably some members do or don't. As a long time member of that group, I do see the rise and fall of the group. Although I do not chat as frequently due to work commitment, I still read and contribute whenever possible, but recently I found no reason to do so. The group used to a community of nice people. Members, admin or otherwise, will share their knowledge and adventures in Thailand, new gay places to go, tips on travel and share their no-holds barred stories on a separate private group. However, since the onboarding of a new admin (I shall just call her Siao S, I think members know who I'm talking about - the very opinionated and vocal one), things took a change as she starts to dominate the chats. The mere fact that you're in this forum and in that chat group is already evidence enough that you are also interested in sex (whether paid or free) and I think it's very hypocritical of you to judge the contents of that chat group when you also get some advantageous info from it.
