I was there last week. Whether there is any toning down I don't know, but you do see a lot of "mourning displays" in all the buildings and public areas. Black and white picture, wreaths, ribbons/cloth, etc.      Somewhat off putting to keep seeing them to be honest

If you just wanna relax and chill the i still highly recommend Let's relax onsen. One of the better onsen compare to Yunomori and Panpuri. Altho still got some cruising activities but def much more subtle than the likes of Maxwell or Zen

If you want more traditional songkran dont go bkk or pattaya. Those r super touristy. Go country side like Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai or even Laos or cambodia. You will be surprisd how diff the same festival can be.

I’ve gone to clubs and similar events solo a fair number of times, you just meet new people if you want to. Everyone’s pretty social.

you have a point also tbh. i was just considering clubbing after going to the sauna like around 10pm or 11+pm. i mean im not too sure if gay saunas are even active past 10pm in bangkok because i recall krubb closes at midnight, r3 closes at 2am lol

 

yeah solo can be quite boring but likely just drink and vibe to the music but can be quite lonely if no one starts talking to me, im still trying to brave myself up to talk to people

Went Maxwell onsen— very nice place. Price is now 600 baht. Quite a lot of 1/0 activities at the individual rooms at level three. Salt and mindfulness room was quiet though. Strongly recommend!

 

thinking of going Klover- anyone to recommend? The additional 1000/2000 tips is in addition to the 500 ie 1500/2500? We must bring the cash up to the massage rooms before hand? Thank you!
