In my experience it is always like that there, I've been at least 5 times by now How's the room ? Clean n big??Modern style?Tarntawan is the one and only gay hotel. Rooms are large and comfortable, if a bit worn by now. The best thing for me has always been their breakfast, whcih they server 24 hours a day. That's for the a la carte breakfast. The breakfast buffet is techincally until 10 ir 11 am (actually don't know) but stays open as long there are enough people coming, I've seen it stay open until 1 pm, which is nice. I've always stayed at this hotel for the last 15 years when visiting BKK. Haven't stayed there for probably 2 years now (coz now i live in BKK), so don't know if they did any renovations. If you want super new and modern in the same location try the new Meridien on Surawong, but that's going to be pricier I think. How bout Tswana hotel? Anyone stay there?You mean Tawana on Surawong right? The one directly opposite Tarntawan.Well, I have stayed there once, visitors were not welcome at all, they made a fuss. Therefore not recommended. As one who is now living in BKK, can you please share your experience on how difficult/easy it is to get to the point where one can stay in BKK relatively permanently e.g. do you have to exit every 6 months, did you have to prove that you have outside of TH income that you are using in TH, how long did it take for you to get your visa, etc. Also, do you speak much Thai and if you do or dont, how has that made a difference e.g. if you speak some Thai presumably you have a wider choice of places when considering where to stay. Also, any advice or comments for a person who is considering doing what you are doing i.e. staying in BKK or TH for a relative long time, would be more than appreciated. Just the time, i.e. late afternoon/evening, around sunset, hence the name twilight. so just see comments (several in this thread, do a search for "orgy") on any o-party to see what's happening. Note that the o-parties all last only about an hour or hour and a half. So being there on time is quite important to make the most of it.
