I just noticed this year NDP got dancers wearing rainbow 🌈 uniform. I think is a good start and might be a “Sign” that calling SG to accept the rainbow community or as a representative of diversity to let the citizens know.

Actually  the rainbow represent diversity I guess the pink is for dei Yi band is actually BTS dynamite.  And alot of gay people are performing in NDP don't be surprised

me too!!! This was done during covid-19 & the NDP committee did something they never done before: forcing JJ Lin & other celebrities to do "national svc". lol

Err... pardon me, but I think your timeline is wrong.

"Our Singapore (2019 remake)" was done to celebrate our National Day on 9 August 2019.

 

Covid-19 only started in December 2019, and hit Singapore in January 2020 with Circuit Breaker on 7 April 2020, by this time "Our Singapore (2019 remake)" was history already eh...

 

For your information yeah.

1. as a non professional,
   i shall review the song as a ordinary singaporean.
    
2. according to the time marker, the guy sings in the beginning for 1 minute, 15 seconds.
    
3. next enters: KIT CHAN.
    
4. i want to "Hang" the director for designing for a long time, focusing on pple in a school hall. couldn't you film them in the school's Quadrangle?
    
5. another dumb revelation, in the last minute of the song: WAVE YOUR FLAG IN THE SUN:
   
   where on earth u want me to buy a flag?!?
     
   songwriter is so bias... u imply... only in the SUN THEN WE ARE MORE PATRIOTIC to wave... under other weather conditions this song is teaching us> follow the lyrics of the song

   PLENTY! this NDP song is loose... & if i were Lee Kuan Yew... i rise up from the grave & ask Kit to sing "Home".

   SIMPLE!   focus more on "The Island Voices" group, why make them do backup...
   when you could have given them, more of the song to sing.

[Why?]

I adore music, but none of the songs from the NDP appeal to me at all. They're making too much effort and still sounds cliche.  Not to mention the ear bursting music is played louder than the song. So...don't bother.
