Dicky7373 Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Does all public pools allow us to swim along via the width of the pool (25m)? Or any public pool have a more shallow (1.5m) practice pool? Quote
leckmich Posted January 25 Posted January 25 i think as long as u r not doing so in the lap swimming pool, it is tolerated, though annoying for other users. yes, all public pools have a teaching pool: Facilities - Swimming pools Quote

leckmich Posted February 26 Posted February 26 do y'all wear swimming caps? if yes, is it to protect he hair or to make you swim faster? Quote
Nivek Posted February 26 Posted February 26 (edited) Protect the hair! But also to keep the hair out of my face. To swim faster I like to wear short fins from decathlon. At my level of swimming (fitness swimming), different kinds of swim trunks don't make any difference also. Though wearing a swim shirt does increase drag by a lot! leckmich Posted May 3 Posted May 3 would you agree that unless you race each other, one would only slow down the other when going to swim together? Quote
Nivek Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Depends who you swim with, probably. I used to swim with a friend who would like to chat between laps, so definitely got slowed down. If it's a serious swimmers, probably both want to do continuous laps for some time and then it probably can get a bit competitive! keitab 1 Quote

The fact that I know I will never be along side them keeps my mind focus on just the chase and contrary to feeling demoralised it motivate to try and keep up as closely as I could. Quote
