I was bandaged for most of the first week and the stitches were painful for the second, so there wasn't the desire to wank. I started from the middle of the 3rd week to wank as it was pretty painful before that. The doc said I was healing well so he had most stitches removed at the end of the second week. (I had a mouth gag to bear the pain during the removal.) My remaining stitches fell out (got loosened up) around 3rd/4th week in my case. No stitch tunnels remained though. There are three or four clinics in London which seem to specialise in nothing else except circumcision. I've also heard that in the US, where the procedure began to fall out of favour around 20 years ago, its on the increase again. When I lived/worked in Bangkok (where traditionally they do not circumcise) there was a report from the Ministry of Health, quoted in the Bangkok Post, suggesting that Thai men should get circumcised for health reasons. On the other hand, I heard that the trend in South Korea, which since the 1950s has had a very high circumcision rate, is now decreasing. SO, difficult to say what the general trend is.
