Happy to give field report on Yunomori Onsen. Went to Sarhorn branch. In short it is neither relaxing or exciting but a brightly lit spa with baths and sauna etc constantly patrolled by 2 staff members. Most are Thai or Chinese and clasp the small towel to their crotch as if their life depended on it. A good 25% wore shorts. At 5pm to 7pm I’d say about a constant 20-25 people max at any one time. The place is eerily quiet - no one talks and people sort of follow around aimlessly. I saw no one playing - very different to Yunomori Singapore that was much more cruisy and discreet action.

I have not heard of Kaikan Onsen in Bangkok.

A quick search revealed:
"Grand Opening on 14 July 2023 KAIKAN The Gentlemen's Onsen Exclusively located in the heart of Bangkok. A relaxing luxury experience, through the variety of bath spa."

 

I shall visit this place the next time I am in Bangkok.  I presume the entrance fee would be about THB450, in line with Zen Onsen.

I would expect more people to visit Kaiken Onsen in the first few weeks/months because it is new.  

I think it would be interesting to read the reports a few months after opening to see how the crowd is by then.

My experience in Sauna Mania is that chubs get less attention.  Not that chubs are ignored, but the crowd seems to gravitate towards slim fit men.

I had a few foreigners approach me when I visited Sauna Mania.  They were big sized (body wise, not... that part) and I suppose I look comparatively slim.  Yes, I did play with a few and we had a good time.  I topped them - if I were to bottom for them, I am not sure I could feel comfortable with their immense weight on me.  

 

I think at the end of the day, it is very much luck of the draw who you get to meet, and if you manage to hook up.

I think it is quite common to see saunas start emptying from 8.00 pm onwards on weekdays.  It is probably due to the patrons having to go to work the next morning.

I think the patrons will probably start thinning out at a later time if it was the eve of a public holiday or if it was a Friday or a Saturday night.
