A clip from a korean tv drama serial called The Lover 더 러버....it's about a few couples living in one apt block. One got strong gay undertones...started when one new roommate moved in....this scene is from ep3...no subtitles...but started with one guy helping with the other's tie...then when he closed in, he said he's hitting the nail on the wall...the other guy later kissed him (not shown in the serial, the scene blacked out)...maybe more in future episodes.

 

One interesting thing is they used the Brokeback Mountain soundtrack here. 

 

Well, it's mild and subtle...but it's not an indie gay film....but mainstream tv.

Taiwan film about a massage boy taking care of his grandma with dementia. It's made by some students.

This is not the full film but parts of it plus interview with the director cum actor...reminds me abit of Loo Zihan...not of looks, but their work.

if u haven't seen dis... if only there was a 'Michael' for everyone out there...  sighs...

 

and no dubbing, there's just something about them speaking Cantonese...

Sweet but thought it was trying to preach too much. Nothing wrong with spreading the word but thought it was overdone here. A sweet mini film nonetheless. Thanks for sharing.

It's Robin Williams final movie. A story about a married awaken from his long hidden identity in a night .... like some married men did.

Butterfly : The Adult World

 

Synopsis :

 

Cheolsu, the hero from queer film 20, has become an adult and while beginning his social life at a host bar he is learning about life. Through the host bar 'stage', we will see various people and their desires accompanied by a story of those in their twenties. Going over the superficial image of those who work at these types of establishment, this film's director aims to provide a new perspective to the stories of those at gay host bars.

Stonewall

 

Synopsis

 

STONEWALL is a drama about a fictional young man caught up during the 1969 Stonewall Riots. Danny Winters (Jeremy Irvine) is forced to leave behind friends and loved ones when he is kicked out of his parent’s home and flees to New York. Alone in Greenwich Village, homeless and destitute, he befriends a group of street kids who soon introduce him to the local watering hole The Stonewall Inn; however, this shady, mafia-run club is far from a safe-haven. As Danny and his friends experience discrimination, endure atrocities and are repeatedly harassed by the police, we see a rage begin to build. This emotion runs through Danny and the entire community of young gays, lesbians and drag queens who populate the Stonewall Inn and erupts in a storm of anger. With the toss of a single brick, a riot ensues and a crusade for equality is born.

Synopsis

 

FRONT COVER tells the story of Ryan Fu, a gay Chinese American who detests his Asian heritage and through talent and hard work, has attained his dream job as a celebrity fashion stylist.

One day Ryan's boss assigns him to style Ning, an actor who has just arrived from Beijing for a top magazine photo shoot. Ning dismisses Ryan's initial Western styling and demands Ryan creates an image for him which represents the power of the new China. Their egos and opinions clash resulting in a strained and difficult working relationship.

Over the following days, they slowly discover that they have a lot in common, and a mutual attraction begins to develop. As they become closer, Ryan reveals that he rejects his Chinese heritage because he is ashamed of his impoverished upbringing. Ning opens up and confesses that he is in the closet.

After a night out on the town together, a Chinese tabloid magazine exposes Ning as gay. Terrified of the impact it will have on his career, Ning implores Ryan to help him deny the story. Ryan must now decide to help Ning or stay true to himself.
