This is out of topic. But I was wondering that if you're tested HIV positive during your ORD medical check-up, what will happen thereafter?

They will run HIV testing together with G6PD, ABO typing and FBC. If you're found to be HIV positive, you will not be subsidised for HIV treatment under 11B MCPS. You'll attain the PES of E9L9 and strictly reserved for clerical work only.

So i'm going in on the 7th of August, but it seems like they didnt give us a list of what to bring!

It's only stated somewhere to bring "personal items that you will require for your residential training, (e.g. soap, toothbrush, shaving kit, slippers, sleeping attire, padloc etc)

Thats all..

And since after two days is national day, what am I really supposed to bring actually..? =(

Dude, don't worry too much. You will not wear a pj there. Just toiletries, slippers, padlock. Most probably u will book out over the weekend to bring whatever you need then. Chill.

the usual admin thing than the 2 bucks haircut.

will be introed to your FI and your officer in charge of your squad.

pretty much slack. the 1st 2-3 weeks only the FI on after that holiday camp.

expect more books than getting yourself dirty.

and but of course the Judo classes are fun =D so dont fret too much.

before you know it you will pass out. Enlisting in August is also a plus

as unlikely or will never tio NDP squad.

I used to be from e previous intakes! Bring more undies, toiletries, powder (Cfm abrasion)

Mostly when you're enlisted in HTA, they will provide you such as shorts, tee, towels, sandals and track shoes.

However, stocks may not arrive by stipulated time so, I suggest, just bring along extra plain coloured shorts for morning exercise, track shoes, plain round neck tee, towel, toiletries, stationaries and writing paper.

I remember they couldn't issue us with police PT kits and shoes on the day of enlistment, so the 2nd day, we all had PT in home clothes. Some of them didn't prepare and had to run around in jeans. :/

Fun times though.

But you'd be spending most of your day in the classroom though.

Agree with serenitysmiles, classroom would take much of it from like 1030 onwards after PT

all the way till 1730 hrs.

Other than that just enjoy. its not as if you are gonna

Yes they do check for your HIV status. As long as nobody calls you after that than everything should be fine. Don't worry! evrything is kept confidential and hope you check up goes fine :-D

Yeah la .. me also unlucky Pending because of Heart .. have to wait till dec 5 .. then know my PES Status i called CMPB last 3 weeks they said they will send letter to me .. but end up din send to me .. cock up siah .. i want call cmpb and ask about my medical thingy .. sighted i hate PES D dude !

i heng siah ................. i should be no problem with blood bah .. .. i now pending because of my CXR .. the medical referral called me and tell me which one i am in pending that why took so long .. pending for 3 month i went to check up back in sept 5 .. waiting my result on december 5 .. so long siah .. ~~~ most probably heart problem maybe will get PES C or E only that all ~~ sighted .

If you got PES D, usually it means there is something they found out during the medical checkup that may not be right and they want to do another check to reconfirm or a more detail check into the specific area.

Pes D Only Means pending to look forward into any possible issues, u might still be graded a after that.

if u refer to before enlistment, than it is because the pes tt was isssued only valid for 1 yr,if within tt 1 yr u are not yet enlisted than u will go for the another one.

Enlistement 1 time, ORD another time, to confirm ur health before and after NS is the same.
