and, anyone still into hostel nowadays? I was in a hostel near 288 (or 228) park, and it was a playground at night, wondering whether it's still the same

There is a toilet in 228 park that is still rather active.  I had an encounter there, and it was before nightfall!
But do be careful, it is a public toilet and perhaps it is better to visit it later at night than earlier in the day.

Am I right to assume we can't stay in G S Hotel or Space Inn as they have shared toilets which does not comply with the rules.

https://sg.trip.com/hotels/-hotel-detail-7767033/gs-hotel/

Currently all rooms in our hotels are with shared bathroom. We are not allowed to accommodate 7-day self-initiated prevention travelers. According to policy, 7-day self-initiated prevention policy for arrivals should stay at home or a residence of a friend or family member or a hotel room that meets the requirement of "one person per room" (with a private bathroom) in the self-initiated prevention period.[17 Oct 2022 - 30 Jun 2023]

Is this still the case now? Can tourist stay in shared hostel?

I stayed in a hostel with sharing bathrooms and toilets when I went to Taiwan a couple of weeks back.  No one in the hostel asked me if I were vaccinated or anything.  They just took my passport, registered my stay, and that was that.

Flight prices were cheap before China reopens. Only $250+ for return trips. Once a lifetime event.

It cost $400+ even for Scoot

basic room, no need high end, but private room with toilet attached,

JustSleep Xinmending.

Good spread of breakfast.

Free flow of hot drink and snacks at the lounge.

Gym

If I cant feel it, I aint faking it

is there any like less than 100 per night ? since you are going to sleep only.

also breakfast should be at their local places rather than hotel, no need free flow anything or gym,

I wouldn't go now. Had been told too many raids primarily caused by some masseurs. Buyers caveat. My fren told me he didn't feel comfortable and relax because of the footsteps along the door way

was wondering if there was or is any particular place or person @ Taiwan that provides the "dragon tendon grasp" massage (抓龍筋按摩)?

Planning to travel to Taiwan soon? If so, you’re in luck! Taiwan’s government has just recently announced an exciting new initiative for foreign tourists and we think it’s a pretty sweet deal! We’re talking about giving 500,000 tourists S$220 incentives each!

still waiting for detail

if they do what HK do is GG haha

they only do out call?

For the Taipei one, it says near Cailiao MRT. So I guess they have their own studio. Not in the city center though.

Does Taipei has bath houses like those in China where straiggg men go to soak in the hot pool followed by massage or rub back?? Any good ones in Taipei to recommend?

I think the closest to this would be the hot springs in BeiTou.

I know gay men go there, but if you go earlier in the day, the patrons will be mainly straight men.

I do not know of the back-rub/cha bei service in Taipei, it does not seem to be that popular.

Is it fully nude hot spring soak or must wear shorts for the public hot spring bath?

most popular among gay guys would be Huang Chi (1 館)

This is nude, segregated by gender.

There are other venues, some are single sex nude, some are mixed (clothed)

Visiting taipei in a few weeks.  Would love to check out some of the massage places and get a special massage by a hot guy.  Seems like most of the reviews are older/pre-covid.  Anyone with recent experiences at Royal Space, Price Spa, Captain Taiwan Space, or Mudan spa - any details on specific masseurs and their special services/skills?  Or any other spaces that is recommended?  Thanks!

Which sauna is the most popular now? Any suggestion?

What's the best timing to go?

Also gonna try Leo from Captain Spa. Anyone used him recently? Reviews seem pretty good. Is he muscular?

just came across this notice at royal spa website: Due to the supply shortage of essential oil materials, we stop providing oil massage courses. Thank you for your understanding.

well it seems disastrous that i would never be able to experience their popular service that most of yous have had in the past just sad this happened before my trip in mid-April T_T

Hi all!  Since this community has been very helpful in making my trip very memorable, I thought of sharing my experience.

Royal Spa (Hika)

It does look like they did tame down.  Curtains separate the rooms.  Though there's still showers on each individual space.  Massage was good.  Really nice pressure.  Was disappointed in the other service.  HE was kinda meh.  Very minimal action went on.

Prime Spa (Ollie)

I had to wait for 15 mins outside because no1 was ready to pick me up and I arrived early.  I thought it was a spa where I can walk in and wait at a lobby.  They will ask you to take a shower first.  The massage was really great.  Ollie was skilled.  And when it came to the oil massage, I was very pleasantly surprised.  Ollie also has a very cute boyish charm.  Tall and tanned.  He has a very nice smile.  I can still remember his smile.  Did I say he has a very nice smile?  We showered together after the massage and I left very happy.  I only booked B1 which was for 60 minutes.  I wish I booked the one for 90 or 120 minutes.  P.S.  He has a nice smile.

Prime Spa (Gino)

What a way to end my trip.  Gino was my appointment right before my flight.  He's chatty enough to make you feel comfortable but not too much to prevent you from relaxing.  When my oil massage started, it was definitely something I will remember :) He's not that tall but he has very nice built and a cute face.

Pity indeed. As for hearsay, seems true if one can read Chinese on the Gay Spa Forum.

Just be careful when visiting Royal. My Taiwan friend said the raids are more frequent now.
