That is one of the most important things of all. Keep sexual activities private. Those who like doing it in staircases and other public places are practically begging to be arrested and have their lives ruined.

Unfortunately people with such fetish seek such thrills.

I have this fetish too. You got it, flaunt it.

But I don't dare to do at dangerous places in SG.

I'll temper it by substituting it with something similar.

Like exhibiting at Tenmen rooftop, Shogun big bed

or my fav at busy gay cinemas at Bangkok.

For me, it has to be bright enough to be seen so dark rooms are just too boring.

Goh Suet Hong (right) and Neo Wei Meng allegedly molested the driver sometime between 1.18am and 3.03am on Nov 12, 2018.

Trial begins for two men accused of molesting male Grab driver

  • Published Aug 2, 2021, 7:56 pm SGT The Straits Times

SINGAPORE - Two men accused of molesting a male Grab driver during their ride home are contesting their charges.

Goh Suet Hong and Neo Wei Meng appeared in court on Monday (Aug 2) at the start of their trial, each facing one count of outrage of modesty. They are represented by lawyer Kalaithasan Karuppaya.

Both men allegedly molested the 32-year-old driver in the vehicle sometime between 1.18am and 3.03am on Nov 12, 2018. The alleged victim cannot be named due to a gag order, to protect his identity.

Goh, 39, is said to have kissed the driver and touched his thigh and genitals over his pants.

Neo, 40, allegedly molested him underneath his clothes and touched his genitals directly.

Neo made the Grab booking, with arrangements for him to be dropped off at his residence first.

The driver picked up the duo and the alleged offences took place during the journey. Court documents did not specifically state how long the entire journey took.

What is stunning is the timing of the trip.

Would you need nearly 2 hours to drive back to any home within Singapore. Even with 2 different locations...

Something doesn't add up to me. If you drive from Tanjong Pagar (Tantric)  to Sengkang and then to Boon Lay nobody would need that time during night time)

Was it molest or did the Grab driver just "regret" later...

I re-read the report on Yahoo News. It gives a bit more details than the ST.

Apparently, the 1.18am - 3.03am time-frame covers the time when the two guys boarded the Grab car, to the time that the Grab driver made the police report.

It's not strictly just the duration of the ride.

I completely missed this as I don't read Today.

I bet this sort of thing happens pretty often among guys. Just that most times, the victim did not know, or did not report it.

Man jailed 5 months for molesting male stranger in Causeway Point mall toilet

Muhamad Ali Anafiah Jumadi, a Singaporean, pleaded guilty to one charge of outraging the modesty of the 23-year-old victim, who cannot be named due to a court order to protect his identity. The court heard that the victim was at Causeway Point mall in Woodlands on April 17 last year, during the circuit breaker period when movements and activities were restricted to curb the spread of Covid-19.

Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) Joshua Phang told the court that at about 9.30pm, the victim went to the men’s toilet at the basement.

He was at the paper-towel dispenser when Ali walked in, approached him and reached out to grab his crotch for about one second,

The victim shouted at Ali and pushed his hand away, then left and went to the mall’s fire command centre to get help.

A security officer helped him to file a police report. DPP Phang sought the sentence imposed, saying that the molestation was a “serious intrusion into the victim’s privacy” and he had done so in a public toilet, which showed his “brazen attitude towards offending”.

However, the prosecutor acknowledged that although the victim was alarmed at the time, he had not suffered any noteworthy or long-lasting psychological damage from Ali’s actions. Ali’s defence counsel Dhanwant Singh asked for a shorter jail term of three months, arguing that his client had admitted to his offence from the beginning and co-operated with the authorities. He had also pleaded guilty at the first available opportunity.

In sentencing Ali, District Judge Jasvender Kaur said that it was “a grab and not just a touch”, albeit just for a second.

He could have been jailed for up to two years, fined or caned, or punished with any combination of the three.

Own up?  Maybe you need to learn relearn your reading comprehension.  His identity is clearly stated and he already pleaded guilty.

There's no evidence he's a BW member or Guest, but he's definitely Singaporean of non- pure chinese descent. So perhaps you wanna run your bigotry along those lines.

Personally I think grabbing a crotch for 1 SECOND is as good as non-event, non gropping.  There was no feeling, it was too swift with no sensation for gropper and groppee.  Besides, the victim is not even naked.   The punishment is too harsh as compared to someone who bloodily bashed a taxi driver for no reason.

Not sure whether we should publish this under the gay news section as it probably refers to pedophilia.

In my view BW should open a separate thread for pedophile acts to separate them from gay news.

Jail, caning for teacher who made former pupil his 'godson' and later molested him

  • Published
    Sep 9, 2021, 1:48 pm SGT

SINGAPORE - A male teacher who made a former pupil his "godson" and later molested the boy during a sleepover was jailed for 2½ years on Thursday (Sept 9).

The man, 36, was also given three strokes of the cane.

He was earlier found guilty of two counts of molestation and another charge of attempted molestation after a trial.

Details about the man, the boy and the school cannot be revealed because of a gag order protecting the victim's identity.

The man has been suspended from service since July 2017 and no longer teaches in any school.

He used to be the victim's Primary 6 form teacher and taught English, mathematics and science in 2016.

The court had earlier heard that he and his victim had a "normal teacher-student relationship" at the time. But they also met outside the school three times that year.

They grew closer after the release of the boy's Primary School Leaving Examination results. He had gone to the victim's home to help the child with selecting a secondary school.

The court also heard that the boy had been raised by a single mother

and he never had a father figure before the teacher came into his life.

The boy agreed to become the teacher's godson in early 2017 as he felt the man was "sincere" and cared for him. They texted every day and the man supported the child financially.

On June 15, 2017, the man touched the boy's private parts twice when the victim was at his flat for a sleepover. He tried to commit a similar offence the next day.

The boy told his mother about the incident and wanted to report the matter to the police. But she stopped him from doing so.

He finally told a school counsellor what had happened when classes resumed on June 27 that year, and the police were alerted.

In its submissions, the prosecution urged the court to sentence the man to between 31 and 34 months' jail as well as be given five strokes of the cane.

Among other things, it noted the victim's testimony that he became insecure, more sensitive and easily angered after the abuse.

The boy also had suicidal and self-harm thoughts, added the prosecution.

For each count of molesting a child below the age of 14, an offender can be jailed for up to five years, or fined, or caned, or be sentenced to any combination of such punishments.

I hope this teaches everyone a valuable lesson: It is not only wrong to molest another, but you will be caught very easily and likely convicted.

Do not be a nuisance to others.

At least these petty crimes pale in comparison with the crimes in the US where children, strangers are killed by mentally disturbed people with guns, or get caught between gun battles.

These sex crimes in SG would be greatly reduced if homosexuality would be tolerated and the transgressors could go to gay saunas where people want to be molested and violated.

Agree with your second part. Why only know how to punish the crime severely but don't even want to tackle what could be the main root cause of it?

Don't even want to nip it in the bud, just continue let the poison flow out to harm more people.

So myopic.

Former Primary School Teacher Molested 12YO Former Student Whom He Had a Father-Son Relationship With

The case involves a former primary school teacher and a then-12-year-old who was his student at the time.

The now 36-year-old man had been the boy’s form teacher in 2016.

The boy, who was raised by a single mother, grew close to the man and shared a father-son relationship with him.

But instead of taking care of him, the man took advantage of the young child.

On 15 June 2017, the man was in the boy’s house on a sleepover, suggested by the 36-year-old.

While alone with the teen, the man started talking about pornography under the pretext of “sex education”.

He then tapped the 12-year-old’s genitals over his shorts, then later that day, inserted his hand into the boy’s underwear and shorts to touch his genitals.

He tried to touch the boy’s genitals again the next morning.

Jailed For 2.5 Years; Intends to Appeal Against Conviction & Sentence

Today (9 Sep), the man was sentenced to two-and-a-half years’ imprisonment and three strokes of the cane for three offences of outrage of modesty and attempted outrage of modesty.

The man intends to appeal both the conviction and the sentence. He also wants to claim trial to two remaining charges, namely:

  1. Voluntarily causing hurt by grabbing the boy’s wrists and slapping his cheek
  2. Exhibiting an obscene object by showing him a pornographic video on his laptop during the sleepover

The judge noted that the boy had become “insecure and easily angered” after the molestation, and got a tattoo on his arm that read “trust no one”.

The prosecution also pointed out that the boy came from a poor family, and that his mother could not afford to keep an eye on him all the time as she had to work and take care of his siblings.

The former teacher even groomed the boy’s mother, transferring over S$1,000 to her in the month when he committed the offences, in the hopes that she wouldn’t report him.

The 36-year-old no longer teaches and is currently unemployed. He cannot be named due to a court order to protect the victim’s identity.

Speaking in court, the victim, who is now 16, said the man had been like family to him and his mother.

Teacher gets 2.5 years’ jail, caning for molesting boy who treated him like a father

By Louisa Tang
Published September 09, 2021
Updated September 09, 2021

SINGAPORE — A 36-year-old primary school teacher was sentenced to two-and-a-half years’ jail and three strokes of the cane on Thursday (Sept 9) for molesting a former student, then aged 12, with whom he had shared a father-son relationship.

The Singaporean teacher, who has been suspended from service since July 2017 and no longer teaches in a school, cannot be named due to a court order to protect the boy’s identity.

District Judge John Ng found him guilty of three offences of outrage of modesty and attempted outrage of modesty, committed on June 15 and 16 in 2017 during a sleepover at his home.

He had first touched the boy’s genitals over his shorts, then later on the same day, he put his hand into the boy’s underwear to touch his genitals. The next morning, he tried to touch the boy’s crotch again.

The man's defence counsel, Mr Kalaithasan Karuppaya, told the court that he will be appealing against the conviction and sentence.

Mr Karuppaya said that he would file the appeal on Thursday, after which the prosecution sought an increase in the bail amount from S$15,000 to S$25,000.

The lawyer previously told the court that the teacher intends to claim trial to two remaining charges.

These are for voluntarily causing hurt by grabbing the boy’s wrists and slapping his cheek, and another of exhibiting an obscene object by showing him a pornographic video on his laptop during the sleepover.

In response to TODAY’s queries, the Ministry of Education (MOE) said that it will be following up with disciplinary proceedings after the court case.

“MOE takes a serious view of staff misconduct and will not hesitate to take disciplinary action against those who fail to adhere to our standards of conduct and discipline, including dismissal from service.”

‘TRUST NO ONE’

In sentencing the teacher, District Judge Ng referred to several aggravating factors such as the abuse of position of trust.

The man had been the boy’s Primary 6 form teacher in 2016 and had developed a close relationship with him.

The victim, now 16, was raised by a single mother who told the court that the teacher had been like family to them, even lending her money several times and acting as the boy’s guardian.

District Judge Ng noted: “It was not in dispute that the accused shared a father-son relationship with the boy. Instead of protecting the boy, he betrayed his trust and gave sway to his sexual desires.”

The teacher also created an opportunity to be with the victim by suggesting the sleepover, and broached the subject of pornography while alone with the victim under the pretext of sex education.

“His actions were deliberate and not opportunistic. This reflected a higher culpability,” District Judge Ng added.

The judge noted that the boy had become “insecure and easily angered” after the molestations, even getting a tattoo on his arm that said “trust no one”.

The judge said that there were no mitigating factors in this case, and the fact that the teacher was a first-time offender “carried little weight in the circumstances of this case”.

Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) Lim Ying Min had sought 31 to 34 months’ jail with five strokes of the cane.

She had pointed out in court how vulnerable the victim had been, coming from a poor family and not closely monitored by his mother, who had to work and take care of his other siblings. His biological father was not in his life.

The teacher had sexually groomed the boy, then “went on to control and isolate” him after gaining his trust, DPP Lim argued.

He had also influenced the boy’s mother to minimise her reporting of his actions, she said.

Most significantly, he transferred money to her three times, DPP Lim added. A few days before the sleepover, on the day of the sleepover and on the day the victim confronted him about the assault.

"He transferred S$1,150 in that month alone  — well above the $100 to $200 monthly transfer.”

For molesting a minor, the teacher could have been jailed up to five years, fined, caned, or receive any combination of the three punishments. Attempted molestation carries up to half of the punishment.

Clarification: In an earlier version of this report, it was written that the man has left the teaching service. His lawyer had told the court that he was a former teacher and is now unemployed. The Ministry of Education clarified that he remains under suspension.

Guest Who are you?

There are many types of Gay personality.  Some very gunho type, who went around molesting people publicly be these victims are young school children, colleagues, patients, service providers or trustee.   Another type is voyeurism, taking pictures and videos of someone doing their private business or even post fake pictures on chat room to cheat people.   There is another type, not bad not good,  they legitimately cruise in dark places, in the most unusual time of the day, "hunting" for similar night creatures and care less about possible risk.  Some are professionals and white collar workers.

Luckily, hope is not lost.  We have the decent, quiet and law abiding type.  Those who know when to draw the line.  These group, are more balanced and will not allow sex to influence their intellect. They could be blue collar workers too and busy with making ends meet.

Another type, very innocent and homely.  You hardly see them until they come into the open quite suddently, and look new in the gay circle.  If you don't take the opportunity to approach them, they will dissappear again and no one know where they are and when they will be seen again.

The fallacy is to always compare ourselves "elsewhere". In your analogy, you compare us with the United States. But why? They are neither our neighbour nor share any similarities. They are a larger country with large numbers of people. What's the basis for dragging the US into this discussion? It's neither a fair comparison nor a constructive one. Other than to make ourselves feel good and pat ourselves on the back and say "At least we aren't as bad as X Y and Z country."

What is wrong with comparing Singapore with the United States?

When we compare, we always do it with something else.  And Singapore and the US don't share any similarities?  WOW!  Don't we have the same anatomy, two eyes, two ears, two arms, two legs, one upper head, one lower head?  I think that there are more things in common than different.

Man jailed 1 year for sex acts with 15-year-old boy whom he met on dating app

By LOUISA TANG

Htut Phyo Wai was on Sept 17, 2021 jailed 12 months for having underage sex with a boy in 2019

SINGAPORE — In exchange for buying a prepaid mobile phone card for a boy, a man engaged in sexual acts with the 15-year-old whom he had befriended on a gay dating application.

Htut Phyo Wai, a 26-year-old Singaporean, was on Friday (Sept 17) jailed 12 months for having underage sex with the male teenager in 2019.

Htut pleaded guilty to one charge of sexual penetration of a minor under 16. Three other charges were taken into consideration during sentencing.

His Singaporean victim, now 17, cannot be named because of a court order to protect his identity.

Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) Emily Koh told the court that the victim had downloaded Grindr, a mobile app popular with gay men, in 2018 and began communicating with strangers.

The boy learnt from these conversations that he could earn money by providing sexual services.

Htut also began using Grindr in 2018.

In April 2019, the victim posted on Grindr that he needed a prepaid mobile Sim (subscriber identity module) card.

Htut then asked the boy what he could get in return for giving him one.

To that, the boy replied to say that Htut would get “whatever he wanted”, the court heard.

They arranged to meet on April 12, 2019, with the boy sending Htut his address in a text message.

That day, Htut bought a Sim card from a convenience store at Changi Airport and headed to the boy’s home.

There, he asked the boy for his age. The boy said that he was 15 before they performed various sexual acts on each other in the boy’s bedroom.

Afterwards, Htut gave him the Sim card and left.

Court documents did not state how his crimes came to light.

DPP Koh had sought 12 months’ jail, saying that the law made it plain that sexual penetration of a minor is a crime, regardless of the victim’s consent.

She added: “Any consent ostensibly given by the victim cannot be endorsed as positive consent, because the victim lacked the requisite maturity.”

Htut could have been jailed for up to 10 years or fined, or punished with both.

Jail for man who had paid sex with teenage boy he contacted on Grindr
By LOUISA TANG
Updated JULY 26, 2019

grindr_0.jpg?itok=uKs8Nkq1

A 13-year-old boy listed his age as 18 on his Grindr profile and agreed to have sex with Malik Erasmus Aslam for a sum of money.

SINGAPORE — Tricked into thinking that the youth he met on gay dating application Grindr was 17 years old, Malik Erasmus Aslam agreed to pay him S$130 for sex.

The man then found himself in trouble when the boy’s father called the police a few days later, saying his son was just 13 years old.

The boy, who is now aged 15, had lied about his real age when Aslam asked him about it on Grindr.

On Friday (July 26), Aslam, 41, a former professional horse-racing jockey, was sentenced to one-and-a-half years’ jail. The Singaporean pleaded guilty on the same day to one count of sexual penetration of a minor and one count of making an obscene film.

Five other similar charges were taken into consideration for sentencing.

Aslam’s lawyer, Mr Nichol Yeo, said in mitigation that his client — a single father of three children — had no reason to suspect that the boy was a minor.

He noted that they had engaged in paid sex too.

The boy cannot be named due to a court order to protect his identity.

SNIFFED ‘POPPERS’

The court heard that Aslam chanced upon the boy’s profile on Grindr in mid-January last year. He then sent the boy a message, asking for anal sex.

They exchanged a series of messages to discuss the price, and later agreed that Aslam would pay the boy S$130.

When Aslam asked him for his age, he replied that he was 17 years old.

On Jan 30, 2018 at about 7pm, the boy went over to Aslam’s place, where they had sex in his room.

Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) Gabriel Lim told the court: “Despite the small stature and youthful look of the victim, the accused took no steps to verify the victim’s age upon them meeting for the first time.”

Both of them also sniffed a bottle of “poppers” that Aslam took out — described in court as a relaxant used by gay men to help them relax during sex.

He then paid the boy S$130 in cash.

About a week later, on Feb 8, they had sex again at Aslam’s home. This time, he recorded a 38-second-long video of the act using his mobile phone, but did not tell the boy he was doing so.

The boy’s father called the police four days later, saying his son had engaged in sexual activities. It was not stated in court documents how the father found out about it.

DPP Lim asked for at least 18 months and three weeks’ imprisonment. He argued that the nature of the sexual offence “presents the greatest degree of exploitation of a minor” and “the onus is on the adult to curb his or her carnality”.

Mr Yeo sought one year's jail for Aslam, pointing out that the boy had listed his age as 18 on his Grindr profile, then told Aslam he was 17. He added that Grindr users have to confirm that they are above 18 years old when registering for an account.

The boy was also “bigger in build than his peers and looked more mature than his actual age”, Mr Yeo said, adding that on the second occasion they had sex, the boy had suggested it and “even gave Mr Aslam a ‘discount’ from the previous price of S$130 to a lower price of S$100”.

The lawyer told the court that Aslam is his family’s sole breadwinner, with an elderly mother to support. He was fired from the Singapore Turf Club after the offences emerged.

For sexual penetration of a minor under 14 years old, he could have been jailed for up to 20 years and fined or caned.

For making an obscene film, he could have been jailed for up to two years, fined up to S$40,000, or both.

Grinder can be a trap for mature gay men.

Anyone who thinks with their dick will eventually get themselves in trouble with the law as Singapore Law will not punished the kid but the those gay men who do not make it a point to check the age of those boys who might turn out to be underage.  No amount of your ignorant pleas will absorb you from the guilt of praying on young guys who might disguise their age on gay apps.

So do be mindful and stay away from minors.

SINGAPORE - A 64-year-old dishwasher, who offered money and cigarettes to his neighbours' underage son and daughter in exchange for sexual favours, was sentenced to 12 years' preventive detention on Monday (Sept 27).

Ezana, who goes by one name, started exploiting the boy in 2016 - when he was 13 - before setting his sights on the girl a year later when she was of the same age.

Preventive detention is meted out to recalcitrant offenders, who can be incarcerated for seven to 20 years. It does not offer the usual one-third remission for good behaviour.

The court heard that Ezana, who has a criminal record going back to when he was 15, fell within a group of prisoners with a 70.2 per cent probability of reoffending within two years of release.

In seeking 12 years' preventive detention, prosecutors noted that he was assessed to have a high risk of general reoffending and a moderate risk of sexual reoffending.

Ezana's past crimes include armed robbery, housebreaking and drug consumption.

In 1999, when he was 42, he was sentenced to five years' corrective training and six strokes of the cane for sexual offences against a 17-year-old boy.

Corrective training is a regime imposed on repeat offenders, who can be incarcerated for five to 14 years.

In the current case, Ezana, who lived alone in a Housing Board flat, became acquainted with the victims through their father, who occasionally invited him to their unit in the same block.

Ezana would drink with the victims' parents and ask them for cigarettes.

Some time in the first half of 2016, the boy visited the man's flat. He had done so before on two occasions to get cigarettes.

The two smoked and watched pornography on a laptop, before the man asked for oral sex. When the teenager complied, the man gave him $20 and cigarettes, and told him not to tell anyone.

The boy visited the flat again in mid-2016, knowing that the man would offer him money and cigarettes for sexual services, the court heard.

In May 2017, the boy's sister went to Ezana's flat for cigarettes. She had learnt from her brother that the man had previously given him some.

The man asked her to remove her shirt after they smoked together.

She did not want to do so but eventually complied when he persisted with the request.

He squeezed her breasts and told her to perform oral sex on him. He passed her $40 and told her not to tell anyone.

She repeated what she did a few days later, and received cigarettes and $50.

The offences came to light during investigations into an unrelated police report made by the girl in November 2019, in which she alleged that her father raped her.

On July 26, Ezana pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual penetration of a minor under 14.

Eleven other charges were taken into consideration during sentencing. They include four counts of exhibiting pornographic videos to a person under 21.

The case involving the girl's father is pending in court.

Man jailed for sexual acts with boy, 12, whom he met through gay dating app (yahoo.com)

SINGAPORE — A man who met a 12-year-old boy on a gay dating application had three sexual encounters with the child despite knowing his age.

Medrano Ermin Marasigan, a 36-year-old Filipino, was jailed for two years and eight months on Wednesday (29 September) after he pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual penetration of a minor under 16, with three counts of the same nature taken into consideration for his sentencing. Another charge of committing sexual exploitation of a child was also considered.

Medrano, a restaurant manager, met the boy through the gay dating app Blued in December 2019. The boy, now 13, identifies as bisexual and was introduced to gay dating apps around June 2019 by an acquaintance he met online. The boy and the acquaintance cannot be named due to a gag order.

He downloaded Blued and another similar app to expand his circle of male friends and falsely declared he was 18 in both apps. In fact, he indicated he was 13 on his profile. He also told Medrano that he was 13.

The boy’s age did not deter Medrano, who asked for his photo and asked to meet up. The pair did so thrice between 13 December 2019 and 3 January 2020 and engaged in sexual activities each time.

On 13 December 2019, the boy sent Medrano two photos of his genitals at the latter’s request. Medrano asked for a meeting at his place on the same day. The boy initially agreed but later changed his mind, saying he needed to run some errands. Medrano replied that he was “sad” and “hurt” and persuaded the boy, saying the meeting “won’t take long”. He also offered to call a Grab ride for the victim to his house, and to his next destination.

The boy relented and went to Medrano’s house, and they engaged in sexual acts.

Four days later, Medrano texted the victim but the boy did not reply until the next day, saying that he had plans already. Medrano then replied, “Im (sic) not important to you. Its (sic) fine.”

On 19 December 2019, Medrano initiated a meet up. The two engaged in sexual activities in Medrano’s bedroom.

On 3 January last year, the boy again accepted an invitation to Medrano’s house. They engaged in sexual activities. The two ceased contact on 11 January last year.

On 5 February last year, the victim’s stepfather checked the boy’s mobile phone and discovered his conversations with other gay men. He confronted the boy, who confessed to having “physical contact” with three men. After a discussion with the boy's mother, the stepfather lodged a police report.

For each count of sexual penetration of a minor under 16, Medrano could have been jailed up to 20 years and fine or caning.

SINGAPORE - A maid was so unhappy after finding out that her female former lover - a fellow domestic worker - had renounced her homosexuality that she decided to arm herself with a knife and confront the latter.

Pintaria Krisnawati Syofah, now 46, barged into the home belonging to her former girlfriend's employer and assaulted the victim, whose name has been redacted from court documents.

The 38-year-old victim's employer, who was working at home, spotted the intruder and told her to leave.

Pintaria was on Wednesday (Sept 29) sentenced to two months and seven weeks' jail.

She had earlier pleaded guilty to offences including criminal intimidation and assault.

The court heard that the two Indonesian women had been in a 12-year relationship.

They broke up in May last year after Pintaria found out that the victim had secretly married a man in Indonesia. Court documents do not state when the marriage took place.

After the split, the two women blocked each other on their communication and social media platforms.

On June 9 last year, Pintaria received from her niece a screenshot of a Facebook conversation between the niece and the victim.

In the conversation, the victim revealed that she had married a man and renounced her homosexuality. She also told the niece that Pintaria had a new girlfriend.

Incensed by the comments, Pintaria decided to confront the victim the next day.

On June 10 last year, she took a taxi to a Pasir Panjang Road condominium and reached the home of the younger woman's employer at around 10.40am.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Huo Jiongrui said: "(Pintaria) rang the doorbell of the unit and hid behind a wall. The victim opened the door, but the accused took cover so that the (victim) would not notice her.

"Seeing no one there, the victim began to close the door. The accused then took the opportunity to barge into the unit."

The victim screamed when Pintaria punched her face but no one came forward to help as her employer was working in his study with his headphones on.

Undeterred, Pintaria dragged the victim by her hair into her bedroom before raining more punches on her face.

The DPP said: "As she did so, the accused demanded to know why the victim had gotten married in secret and why the victim had said the things she said in her conversation with the accused's niece on Facebook.

"The accused asked the victim to delete the posts... The victim instead threw her... mobile phone on the bed and asked the accused to delete (them) herself."

The victim then kicked Pintaria who had tried to slap her.

Enraged, the older woman held a knife in her right hand and told her former girlfriend that she was "not afraid" to use the knife.

Pintaria then noticed that the victim had another mobile phone in a pocket. The offender yanked the device out and threw it onto the floor, damaging it.

The victim took advantage of this brief interlude and sprinted into her employer's study, screaming for help.

The man removed his headphones, left the study and told Pintaria to leave after spotting her in his home. The offender complied and he alerted the police later that morning.

Officers arrested Pintaria at around 12.20pm that day. Her former girlfriend went to the National University Hospital where she was found with bruises on her face and hands.

Pintaria's bail was set at $10,000 on Wednesday and she was ordered to surrender herself at the State Courts on Oct 29 to begin serving her sentence.

For assault, an offender can be jailed for up to two years and fined up to $5,000.

6 months' jail for NUS grad who installed pinhole camera in gym toilet

SINGAPORE - He installed a pinhole camera disguised as a hook in a male toilet at an Anytime Fitness gym in Hillview Rise to film men urinating.

When he realised that his device had been discovered by a cleaner and kept in an office, he waited at the 24-hour gym for four hours for an opportunity to retrieve it.

Sean Lee Yang, 27, who was unemployed at the time after graduating from the National University of Singapore (NUS), was sentenced to six months' jail on Thursday (Oct 14) on two charges - one for destroying evidence to be used in court and the other for installing equipment used to commit an offence.

Around two weeks before the incident in August last year, he had purchased a spy camera disguised as a clothing hook from e-commerce site Lazada, according to court documents.

He planned to use it to covertly film men urinating as he had a fetish for such videos. The camera had a memory card slot to enable recordings to be downloaded.

He would head to the gym at HillV2 mall at different times of the day, up to three times a week, to install the camera in the men's toilet without being discovered.

While changing into his workout attire, he would plant the device under the hand dryer, pointing the camera at the urinals.

After working out, he would retrieve the camera and check the videos at home, keeping those that captured male genitals, according to court documents.

"He then viewed the videos for his pleasure," said Deputy Public Prosecutor Heershan Kaur. "The accused person had been doing this for some one to two weeks."

But on Aug 10 last year, a gym cleaner discovered the clothing hook below the hand dryer and grew suspicious.

He turned it around and realised that it was a camera equipped with an SD card and a USB port in the hook.

While exercising, Lee noticed a staff member holding his device and placing it in the staff office.

Desperate to retrieve it, he remained in the gym from around 10.30pm to 2.30am, intermittently exercising while waiting for a chance to sneak into the office.

When the coast was clear, he entered the office, took the device from a drawer and left the gym.

More on this topic

Afraid that the footage would be used against him in court, he threw the camera and the memory card into a rubbish chute at his block in Segar Road in Bukit Panjang.

The incriminating videos were never recovered, according to court documents.

But closed-circuit television cameras had caught Lee entering the gym's office and the male toilet, and the gym manager reported this to the police.

Defence lawyer Johan Ismail said in mitigation that this was Lee's first offence and he regretted his actions. The lawyer added that his client had just graduated from NUS.

DPP Kaur urged the court to sentence Lee to seven to nine months' jail. She said that while Lee was a first-time offender, this was not a one-off incident.

There were multiple victims involved since the offence was the last in a routine spanning one to two weeks, she added.

She stressed that voyeurism remains a pressing concern in Singapore, with such acts being aided by technology.

"A clear signal ought to be sent to society that such depraved conduct and attempts to thwart justice will attract the strictest penalties," said DPP Kaur.

For committing an act of voyeurism and destroying court evidence, Lee could have been fined and jailed for up to two years for each offence.

Man jailed for filming other men in gym toilet with hook-shaped spy cam (yahoo.com)

Man jailed for filming other men in gym toilet with hook-shaped spy cam

SINGAPORE — A male member of Anytime Fitness gym installed a spy camera in the shape of a clothes hook in the male toilet to film the genitals of other men.

Even after the device was discovered by a cleaner, Sean Lee Yang, 27, waited four hours for an opportunity to retrieve and dispose the camera.

Lee was jailed for six months on Thursday (14 October) after he pleaded guilty to one count of installing equipment in order to enable himself to record others in private acts, and one count of destroying the equipment so that it cannot be used as evidence.

Lee, who works as a client accounts manager at a bank, has lodged an appeal against the sentence. His lawyer Johan Ismail had sought either probation or a mandatory treatment order (MTO) for Lee, whom he said had been suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder due to a traumatic childhood incident.

Planted spy camera under hand dryer, facing toilet bowl

At the time of the offences, Lee had just graduated from National University of Singapore and was unemployed.

He had bought a spy camera disguised as a clothes hook from an online e-commerce platform one to two weeks before the incident on 11 August last year. The device had a built-in battery and a memory/SD-card to save the recorded videos.

The court heard that Lee had bought the device as he had a fetish for viewing videos of men urinating.

Lee started experimenting with the device two to three weeks before he was caught, by installing it at in the sole male toilet of the Anytime Fitness gym’s outlet at Hillview Avenue at different times of the day, for two or three times a week.

While changing into his gym attire, he would plant the device under the hand dryer, with the device facing a toilet bowl. After he was done with his gym session, he would retrieve the device, bring it home and view the recorded videos on his laptop.

At about 9.03pm on 10 August last year, Lee visited the same gym outlet and repeated his spy-cam installation at the male toilet before working out.

At about 9.20pm, a cleaner entered the toilet, and saw the dark-coloured hook under the hand dryer. He had seen the same hook there about a week ago, and grew suspicious due to its placement.

He removed the hook and saw that there was a memory card slot with a SD-card and a USB port in the hook. Upon closer inspection, he spotted the camera lens at the top hole of the hook. He then handed the camera over to a staff member.

Waited four hours before retrieving device

Lee, who was still working out at the gym's pec deck machine, noticed the staff member holding onto his device and discussing it with his colleagues. Realizing that his device had been discovered, Lee followed the staff member and watched him go to his office to leave the device in a drawer.

Lee decided to wait around for an opportune moment to retrieve it. He exercised intermittently while keeping an eye on the office, waiting for the coast to clear.

He waited some four hours until around 2.24am, when the staff member took a toilet break. CCTV footage showed Lee entering the office and taking the device out of the drawer before leaving the gym at about 2.31am on 11 August.

Feeling scared, Lee then disposed the device into a rubbish chute at his residence. The device and its SD-card were not found.

The area manager of Anytime Fitness found the spy cam missing from the drawer when he went to the gym at about 12pm on 11 August. He went through the CCTV footage and discovered that Lee had taken the device. He then lodged a police report.

He is just a boy: defence lawyer

Seeking probation or a mandatory treatment order, lawyer Johan said that his client was sexually abused in Thailand by his teacher, who allegedly blindfolded him and molested him nearly daily for some six months when Lee was in Primary 3.

“We are instructed he did inform an Institute of Mental Health psychiatrist of this fact and the accused was told that he was suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder,” he added.

“After graduating from NUS in August 2020, he was unable to find a job until October 2020. That added stress to him because he had to find a job to actually hep out with family expense."

The lawyer added that Lee has since been taking medication which aided him in controlling his voyeuristic urges.

“Why did he go into office?…He was scared, Your Honor, that is why he went into the room to retrieve it, there is no other reason," he said. “He was scared because of what he has done. Your Honor, he is 27 years old, yes he is …but look at him, he is a boy."

Johan also suggested that that the filming of men was less aggravating than if the victims were women, and that spy cameras were naturally small.

District Judge Eddy Tham noted Lee’s “sad history” but added that, while it explained how his sexual inclinations came about, it did not excuse his offending behavior.

“That the private genitalia of men as opposed to woman have been recorded is clearly not less aggravating,” added the judge.

DJ Tham ruled that probation and MTO were inappropriate as deterrence was still the primary sentencing consideration in Lee’s case.

Jail for man who tried to blackmail friend’s boss with secretly filmed sex videos for S$50,000

Tan Yong Jian’s friend had set up a CCTV camera in his boss’ house
The camera captured the victim having sex with another man multiple times
The pair then teamed up with another friend to extort S$50,000 from the victim using the videos
They failed but after being charged, Tan tried to blackmail the victim again

SINGAPORE — After discovering his friend had secretly filmed his married boss having sex with another man several times, Tan Yong Jian hatched a plan to blackmail the boss for S$50,000.

After plotting with two friends, including the one who had recorded the videos, Tan sent several threatening text messages to the victim, but his plans were scuppered when the authorities were informed.

After Tan was charged, he tried to extort money from his friend’s boss again but failed.

On Tuesday (July 27), the 24-year-old Singaporean was jailed for three years and 10 months after pleading guilty to criminal intimidation by anonymous communication and drug-related offences.

Deputy Presiding Judge Jennifer S Marie took into consideration two other similar charges in sentencing him.

Arrest warrant issued for HIV-positive man charged with having sex with 14-year-old girl
The victim, only identified in court documents as a 53-year-old businessman, cannot be named due to a court order to protect his identity.

Tan’s accomplices have been charged and their cases are pending.

CREATED TELEGRAM GROUP CALLED ‘HEIST’

The court heard that one of the conspirators — the victim’s subordinate, identified as B2 — had secretly installed a closed-circuit television camera on top of a bookshelf in the victim’s house sometime in late 2019.

B2 would get a notification on a mobile application if someone was in the room and triggered the camera to start filming. He could then view what was going in in real time and record the acts through the app.

He left the camera there for about three weeks and recorded the victim engaging in sexual activity with another man in the room at least five times. He saved the videos on his mobile phone.

On March 9 last year, Tan, B2 and their friend, a 23-year-old named Daryn Ho Yong Jian, were at Ho’s house when they began talking about the victim.

They decided to extort the boss when B2 showed the others the videos he had taken.

The trio initially could not decide on how much money to demand from him but agreed that B2 would receive half of the sum for taking the videos while Tan and Ho would get 25 per cent each.

B2 then sent the videos and the victim’s contact number to Tan and Ho. B2 and Ho later deleted the videos to avoid detection but Tan did not.

The trio then got an unregistered SIM card to use to contact the victim, and set up a group chat called “Heist” on the messaging platform Telegram to discuss their plans.

‘I HAVE SOME VIDEOS AND PICTURES’

Later that day, Tan used the unregistered SIM card on his phone and sent the victim three of the videos.

He wrote: “Hi (victim’s name), I have some videos and pictures at my disposal that I think will be of interest to you.”

When the victim did not respond, Tan sent him another message two hours later and threatened to share the videos.

In the meantime, the victim suspected that one of his personal assistants who had access to his home had recorded the videos and filed a police report the next day.

He continued ignoring Tan’s messages, so the trio decided to demand S$60,000 from him on March 12 last year.

He replied shortly after, saying what they were doing “is so wrong, whoever you are” but that he was prepared to work with them.

He added that S$60,000 was too much because his businesses were bleeding due to the pandemic, but that he could hand over S$50,000 if given some time.

The three of them decided to accept this offer. Tan then gave the victim his word that he would not circulate the videos if the victim handed over the cash the next day.

The police arrested Tan, Ho and B2 on March 13 last year.

Tan was released on bail but tried to extort the victim again through another man named Edwyn Mahadevan, aged 28.

Tan gave the man the victim’s contact number and instructions on how to extort him. The victim then reported the matter to the police.

Tan was arrested again at his home several months later, on Sept 28 last year, and admitted to having smoked methamphetamine in his bedroom. He also admitted to buying 5g of the controlled drug from a friend for S$100.

For criminal intimidation by anonymous communication, he could have been jailed for up to two years.

The handling and reaction of the victim was wise and mature.

Rule No. 1 is: Never pay on any such threats, intimidation...

In most cases the threats to release such videos are empty, as once released, the background of intimidation is gone.

Don't panic, stay cool headed, share first with a very good gay friend or seek professional advice.

Such guys build on your fear, but you must overcome the fear as the thread mostly  carries no worth.

Lky already said, as long it is done behind  the closed door, the police won't come after u.

May I correct you:

As long as it happens in a residential or private place (Hotel) and as long as you have (during all times) the consent of the other party, and as long as the sex partner is not a mi-nor (etc as there are other limitations), the current policy is not to apply 377A on gays.

If not for the blackmail that went wrong, nobody would know. It's just another horny story that if written, would be taken with a big grain of salt.

Plenty of such going on that's nobody else's business except those involved.

Of course, most gay sex involves chrysanthemum poking.

The fact that they decided to blackmail the businessman must be because he was penetrated, more than thinking about S377A since that's supposed to be unenforced. That seems a sure blackmail chance that's too easy.

The background of blackmailing is probably more on the societal views on gays and gays here tending not to live openly gay. In that sense they are discreet, family, relatives (sometimes spouses), employees, staff  should not know... due to the negative stigma of being a gay.

In his situation he was a boss and surely not openly gay. That is what they tried to catch him on. Don't think so much it was because of gay anal penetration.

Even straights (straight bosses) get blackmailed for their adultery...

Thumbs up for the 53yo married man!

At 53yo, he probably don’t give af about people knowing that he is having sex with men.

Wise to go report to police rather than giving in to threat.

Yes Section 377A is still on the books. That is why we live in constant fear.

This is just so laughable. I'm  trying very hard to recall any case that was prosecuted under 377a for the past 20 years but hey NO SUCH CASES.

TopChinese must be hallucinating, probably high from the after effects of taking poppers to boost his sex drive. LOL !
