Trinity Silom is not safe anymore. I have stayed there a total of 3 times, latest was in May. On my last night, I was waiting for my uber to airport ard 10pm. Seated at the lobby with the low flat sofas, they overlook the front glass door.

Waiting, and there was a cute guy with old man riding in on a bike. At first I didn't really notice anything, until the guards stopped them and said something like, "For guests only". They were already inside the lobby, when they were stopped. Not sure why the old man never use the side entrance, maybe he didn't know it.

The old man got very embarassed, and was like "ok, ok. I go, bye bye", but the cute guy was not happy. I think was quite obvious the younger guy is a sex worker, wanted to be brought up to the room. He left with a grumpy face, escorted by the guard back to the foyer and his bike.

I noticed the front door guard, maybe a new one, is very gung-ho and strict. If you go to the adjacent building for gym or pool, they constantly check also, maybe people were caught hanky-panky...

Book a double room.  If reception asks who your other friend is at check-in, just tell them he is joining later.  Shouldn't have problem to bring someone back.

Due to sex tourism, hotels in general are aware of these "friends". So even quick fun cannot go up, what more bring guy to sleep over. The guard never even ask how long he staying, just escort him out on the spot.

The uncle was so embarassed, scurry back to his room. Damn paiseh, everyone was also looking and his sexcapade kena exposed. I guess in this regard, it is not safe haha.

The hotels want to avoid lah because these boys can troublesome if not happy with payment or what. Break things, or say you have drugs in the room, scare you by saying they will call police etc - all common tricks.

the side door is to access the other building. since my room is in that building i used this side door, more than the main lobby entrance.

there is still a front desk with rotating staff (ard 4 different people), i greet and chat with them often, but they are still quite strict about no guests.

to date, i have not brought anyone to my room. in general, it's not something i recommend doing actually...!

I was in BKK recently, and visited 39 Underground.  It was not difficult to find, near the Saphan Kwai Sky Train Station.

It was Friday nude night, and it had mainly 20's - 30's age group crowd.  On the top floor was a patio, almost open air (it had a sort of awning over it).  One person was sucking openly.  I sat down and played with a bear who was about 40 years old while others watched.  The bear then left, and I sat back to rest.  A slim guy about late 20's came into that area, and fondled me.  He then sat on me (reverse cowboy) and pumped away.  His ass was pre-lubed, and anal lips rather swollen, so I suppose I was not his first for that evening.

All in all, I had fun there.  There were hardly any foreigners in that sauna.

Uncle will be in Thailand from Wed 5 Jul to Thurs 13 Jul...hopefully Scoot don't derail my travelling dates (yes, passengers were stranded for more than 24 hours last Friday!)..

I will be staying in near Makkasan this time as someone had arranged for a good deal there.  So, Soi 4 ..beware of this old uncle and his entourage!

Will be visiting BKK from 29 Jul to 5 Aug. Planning to go to Ayutthaya. Anyone been there and can share some advices?

Ayutthaya is very much a let down compared to other places to see in Thailand. You will find this out when you get there.

No money has been spent there compared to somewhere like Sukhothai. But that is way way up North.

You would be far better off taking a look at somewhere like, Kanchanaburi.

Just google both and make up your mind from there.:thumb:

Going to BKK this 10 July. Any good go go bars? Any recommendations?

:)

Dreamboys has the best show and is the most expensive at around $20.00 and includes a complimentary drink.

The trick is to go in just before the show starts so your drink lasts through the show.

The cost of an additional drink in there will make your eyes water.

Ive been to ayutthaya and i like the place. There are a few temples that is great for photo and the whole ancient city is huge. If u dont like temples, dont come here. I went there taking the train, which is dirt cheap (20 bath) and then hire the motorcycle taxi as i went there alone, for half day (until lunch) visiting 6 or so temple and restaurant on the way to the train for about 300 bath total. I wouldnt give it a miss if u have a day to do a day trip there.

Took me about 1 hour on cab to get to the train station and another 2 hour via train to the place. I rented a bike and rode around. There wasn't much to see, The historical park wasn't anything spectacular. It was just temples and some statues. Maybe I am not a scenery person to begin with.

I'm very much into landscape and heritage / ancient buildings photography.... and I intend to book a trip via the hotel to Ayutthaya. I'll be traveling alone too.

any places in Bangkok allow to swim naked?

not really, I wish there was lol. Nudity is not even permitted at the swimming pool of Babylon Sauna!

BUT - there is this naturist resort in Bangkok, where nudity is of course a given. But be warned, this is a STRAIGHT place, and NOT about sexual activities (at least according to the website. I have not been there (yet), so can't make any further comments.

i booked a taxi for a day to visit pattaya but after 3 pm we decided to cut short the visit .The palace complex is nice in the morning but the run down temples are the same when we visited 4 or 5 temples in the afternoon in december and at each temple there is an entrance of around 40 or 50 bath,So a day visit is good enough really
